Suppose we are captured by some religious militants. They ask us to deny our faith and publicy condenmed our religion. If we decline, we will be stripped completely naked before the crowd and then executed by beheading publicy. Being stripped completely naked before crowd is very embarassing for a woman.

This sound a very strange question, but this continue tickling in my head. I always wonder if this happened to me, can I bear such humiliation, naked before the crowd then lose my head, to defend my faith and religion? Am I just a coward or a courage woman? Can I as brave as lady Godiva (you know lady Godiva story?)

Most people can bear plain quick death to defend theirs. But death in humiliation, i.e. humiliation by stripped naked before the public before have our head behaded seem much worse than that. I think I will defend mine, but wonder if this really happened to me.

to: IF GOD B4ME, that's a really good thinking. You are right about everything in earth will perish someday. I agree with you that we must seek eternity even if that mean we have to endure such a great humiliation by publicy forced to stripped completely naked then executed by beheading.

I would never deny my faith in God no matter what. Jesus is my saviour and I know my sins are forgiven as I have repented and am saved and a born again Christian. God made this promise to us. I guess if I am captured and stripped naked and loose my head, it won't matter because I know my faith is strong enough that I will be in Heaven shortly after.

There is no greater shame that standing before the Father in Heaven and having to admit that I have denied My Lord Jesus...This earth is but a vapour in the eternity in heaven.....I pray for strength when the time would come that I would be strong in my faith...

It is hard to say if we dare or dare not face such brutal treatments! But faith in our heart would give us courage and wisdom to make decision at those moments.
Religious history has abundantly recorded several glorious stories of those women who gladly face their heroic martyrdom. They even give their possessions and pray for their executors.

Words are words. Faith is heart based. Who wants to allow some idiots to strip you naked and publically humiliate you? There's no need to act macho and fearless, you are utterly helpless so do whatever you have to do to save your own life, I say.

I will not renounce the Lord my God. I will only speak the truth. If I die for it, then I die showing others that I love Jesus. Jesus died for me. Hopefully, by my death, others would see the truth and accept his gift, too. If I'm going to die, who cares about being stripped naked? When I die I will go to Heaven because Jesus saved me, so I don't really care what happens here on Earth to my earthly body. Yes, I am a woman.

Why would you worry about something that is never likely to happen?

To elizabeth R, your words sound like the muslim beliefs that people here are quick to condemn. All that's missing is the 72 virgins

Well, it wouldn't be embarrassing for me, since I walk around without clothes on at home anyway. I've very comfortable with my body. But I'd defend my religion, and endure humilation for what I believe.
