I try my best to always do this and this is exactly what being pious means. Piety is the ultimate aim of religion. A very simple is backbiting; this is spreading like plague and is becoming a habit. Whenever I find myself starting to indulge in it, I remind myslef that this is Not what Allah wants from me. In Quran, a muslim who backbites another one is compared to be like someone who eats the flesh of their dead brother or fellow muslim. This is not to say that it is OK to backbite non-muslims. Bad behaviour is forbidden with everyone.
Another example is that I frequently work from home and can very easily cheat on the hours I do as no one asks me to submit reports on what I did or when I worked (out of trust). I keep it in my heart that Allah is watching me, though.
Of course I am no angel, but I try my best. Thanks for the well thought of question.
Peace

I think of God and what he wants from us, and I think I was starting to adjust my movements for a while there. Unfortunately I got too crazy with it, melted down for a moment, and now I'm just apathetic. I know I'm always going to be doomed to this shitty existence that is my life, so why bother? I'm just going to go through the rest of my life trying to tread as lightly on others as I can, screwing over no one but myself. If I can accomplish that much then I'll have considered what I have from here until the end of our age a meager achievement.

To answer this question honestly I'm going to say sometimes. There are times when I consider something and try to base what I'm doing according to what the biblical guidelines suggest. Then at others I am the selfish human that we all tend to be and I do exactly what I desire.
Not the popular answer for a Christian but the honest one.

I think a lot of what's in the Bible can be left up to interpretation, and is not necessarily a matter of whether one will be saved or not because of the "commandments" involved. For instance, many people look down on body piercings and makeup, but today's trends and societal norms are different from those of biblical times and traditions. We do our best with what we believe the Bible dictates.

I live in a state of unity with God in unconditional Love,Expressing "THAT" is living his will. I live in the "now" my movements and words are imparted unto my heart by his will. How? by being aware that all things are but God expressing his vision of himself. The mind is not for thinking, the mind is for receiving thought.

I always do. It all comes down to our daily life when you think about it. Little things add up to big things. It is the little things that you do that make up your day, your week, your months, your years, and ultimately your life. I try to do the best that I can.

I am not perfect in this regard, but...
I try to ask my self, "is what i am doing loving?", or "is what i am doing God's will?"
if it's not, i adjust my thoughts and actions accordingly
may God bless you richly

I do, but sometimes I need a little nudge every now and then.
A word, a hug, a gift, will always bring me back.
Life is a gift!
God's gift!

Meditate and ask what it is that He/She wants.
Then listen very carefully, because it is seldom if ever what you expect to hear.
