How can a living thing created by God, have no soul? If God created plants and animals, as living beings, then by that alone do they not come pre-packaged with a soul as well? Wouldn't it make God a discriminator, if He didn't grant plants and animals a soul like He does according to Christianity, for humans? With the necessity to have Plants and Animals on the Earth, how can it be thought that these living things ever did not have a soul?

For all you religious freaks...how many science courses have you actually completed??

Because it is hard to believe that you would still believe in all this nonsence if you had actually sat and paid attention.

This question is addressed primarily to Christians, but I welcome all constructive thoughts on the matter.
Why can God and evolution not coexist? I realize that the Bible says that God created man, but it also says that he created the heavens and the earth. Do some also question the credibility of astronomers and geologists? Why is it impossible that God used evolution as a tool to create us, as he uses so many various other tools every day? The order of the Biblical creation is even the same as the scientifically proposed natural creation. So my question is, why the disconnect?
Could it be the fact that many atheists attempt to use evolution as a way of disproving the Bible, and therefore Christians feel it necessary to oppose these atheists by refuting any beliefs that the atheists hold? I do not find it difficult to believe in evolution and to be a Christian, so why is it that so many Christians do? Am I missing something?

Sounds odd but... I have been known to "know " future events regarding friends and family...

Because my info is always helpful to others health, I know my insight is from God. I will not go into detail about His methods for using me as a helper.
However, I suddenly ~this past two days can N O T get the word FRIDAY out of my head. If you have these same type of insights then YOU KNOW what I mean , and what I am describing. I even caught myself thinking today was friday... (more than once) Does ANYONE here at YAHOO have any intuition about why I keep thinking of "friday"?

Isa 37:20 - 20 And now, O Jehovah our God, save us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, O Jehovah, are [God] alone.” Notice ALONE.Isa 63:16 - 16 For you are our Father; although Abraham himself may not have known us and Israel himself may not recognize us, you, O Jehovah, are our Father. (notice not FATHERS, NOR SON) .Isa 63 states that Jehovah is the Father, it does not say the Son nor the Holy Spirit. It also used the singular pronoun “you” & singular noun “Father”. It is noteworthy to say that Jehovah is never addressed “The Son” or “Our Son”, etc. but only the “Father”. This is in accordance to what Jesus said in John 17:1-3 when he addressed his Father, “the only true God”. Notice Isa 63 states Jehovah is “Our Father” in heaven, whom Jesus mentioned in the Lord’s prayer. The Father is the only God. That’s why 1 Cor 8:6 states “6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him”. Notice THE FATHER only

Since politics and religion are joined together in our current government, will religious freedom be eliminated? Will we see the same struggle as Irelands Protestants and Catholics? Will the effort to free countries that are supressed, result in choosing the people's religion that live there? Is it wrong, and should it be made illegal; to not believe in God? In regards to Islamic fundamentalism and others, should any specific religion be made illegal to practice or believe in?

"In marriage the bed is undefiled, but all others will be judged." Hebrews 13

by rejecting Jesus and not letting him into our heart to forgive our sins and help us do better, and be our friend-we can make any rules we want to.

I did myself-as a lost Jew-and it got to the point I didnt want to live-tired of using others and being used-then I prayed-Jesus i'm sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen "

Jesus came into my heart as he promised he would in Revelation 3vs19&20 and gave me the joy of salvation

Jesus gave me -the true happiness I had sought in lust with a g/f but never achieved to last day after day-only more unfufilled desire--addicted on pleasure in sin for a season-but not lasting-because she couldnt be my God. now life is very wonderfull better than I could have ever sought-with Jesus as my savior and best friend.

honestly-we can lie-but why lie -i got tired of lying to myself -most say sin happy way?
Jesus Is the Way :D!

Ok believers please tell me where this breaks down...

Around 50% of fertilised eggs are aborted naturally, ie they exit a womens body after conception either by failing to implant (most usual) or for another reason such as incorrect hormone levels.

These are FERTILISED eggs so therefore posess a soul according to you.

God has created the human body and reproductive organs within so is in a very real sense responsible for this process. soo...

What happens to all those 'souls' (50% remember) that are literally flushed away, and why are you so concerned when a minority of women seek to emulate the creator?

I'm an atheist, and don't believe in him at all. But I was raised in the Baptist church and was taught how god loves everyone. If that is so, why do roses have thorns, why do people often find love when they are not free to give themselves to it? Why do our pets die twice as fast as we do?

What do you think it means for people to have freedom of religion?
(My answer)
Freedom of religion is just that, you are free to be religious or not. You are free to choose to worship God, god, gods, self, cat, dog, mouse, donkey, etc. You don't have to go to church on Sunday, the government cannot tell you you have to be Baptist (for example) nor can laws force you to bow a knee to the perfered God.
What it does not entitle you to be is free from religion. I have just as much right as you do, I can assemble on the courthouse lawn in prayer. I can pray while in school, I can read the bible in the police station.

I would really like it if people would refrain from giving a 'thumbs down' just because they disagree with the response. I give a 'thumbs up' when I find an answer that has merit. I rarely give a 'thumbs down' - only when the person is being mean, nasty and beligerant without any merit to their argument.

Does anyone else agree? Can we agree to disagree?

If you were not afraid of death and afraid of what happens after you die.....would you still be religious?

Admit it.....religion exists because people are afraid of death and what comes after it.
