The impression i get is that God snapped his fingers and humans appear..

Lets use the analogy of an airplane. An airplane is something that has a Creator (us), and its made of many structures that can be traced back all the way to the mining facilities where the raw materials come from. The creation of an airplane does not go, "Let there be airplanes, and there was airplanes."

So I want to know, is firstly, where were the first humans? How were they created? Their bones, their muscles, their cells, where did they come from? Can we possibly reproduce this creation?

Was it really a couple (Adam and Eve) or a batch of humans (7 men and 16 women in the matrix)

And how were they like? They must have developed a language instantly cos they could speak freely to God.

Well, personally creationism has a lot of explanation to do I just wanna know what do you guys think.

PS: Don't give me answers like we will never know or we should not question it. It's just really really lame.

Im probably what people would call aethist. I don't like religion or the way most religions portray their gods but I do have certain spiritual beliefs like I believe in souls, spirit in every living thing...

do you have any spiritual beliefs? And no I don't mean anything relating to religion. Still wouldn't ever buy into that!

From my point of view, this is a GREAT evil in the church. The
way being saved is shoved down peoples throats, so they
can make POINTS off of people.
Nobody should partake of any Holy ritual until they are ready. Nobody should do these things just to get someone off of thier back, or to simply go through the motions.
To do so, ROBS them of the experience of the HOLY SPIRIT!

Born Muslims how do you feel different from converts?
Converts/Reverts, How do you feel different from Born Muslims?

For me a convert: I had to learn everything from books. I did not have the advantage of MOM and DAD telling me what to do. But is also rewarding because I get to investigate and learn my religion more.

In the age of femi-nazism disguised as women's equality women tend to write their own laws but this one seems to go over the top. I know a man in jail for felony non-support in missouri as a result of impregnating a woman when SHE raped HIM. At what point are the women gonna stop pouting about the injustices of centuries past and start seeking equality instead of superiority? Is this not an indication of Femi-nazism going over the top?

If they don’t allow public practicing of other religion in Saudi then how come they are expecting that they will have that right to practice in western countries or Asian country like India where they are minority? I hope Muslims are not alone in the world, so they also have to respect other’s view.

And the most strange is when some one is publishing cartoon of Mohammed then they have right to feel bad or even when some one is criticizing “Islam spread with the power of sword” (Popes recent comment on Islam) then also they are protesting, but they never feel bad about what they are doing with non-Muslims in many countries. Why?

This rather safe comedy film was at number twenty or so in the top fifty list on C4. Does this say, theologically, that the Americans are more 'God fearing' and the British seem to have a more personal 'matey' relationship with God with the attitude that 'God's mellowed since the Old Testament. He can take a joke!'. Personally I, like many others, know it wasn't an insult to God, Jesus or the Holy Ghost. Just an attack on organised religion.

On RS there is on one hand an overabundance of religion-related questions inspired by- and inspiring-strong negative emotions we humans tend to loathe in normal conditions, such intolerance, prejudice, hate, bigotry etc. On the other hand there is a scarcity of spirituality-related questions transcending religious boundaries, exploring all possibilities and ways to attain inner peace and peace with the world, irrespective of dogmas, religious or otherwise.

Hi>
I am a Christian by faith, yet when working and living in The Sultanate of Oman for many a year, I respected the month.
A fine idea & belief, and most happy to comply as a "guest" in the country. Although admit to taking a two week leave, as the bars were pretty much shut.
Lent, we call it, as an equivelant so I stay out of pubs.
A time to reflect on oneself.
Fine in my book, and the Koran.
Comments from those of the Islamic faith most welcome.
Bob.

Atheists are intelligent and do not have a need to be 'guided' (or ordered/controlled) by a non existent entity.
So surely that would make them one step further along the chain of human evolution. ?

Dear friends:

I have watched movies about the Holocaust and read books, talked to some of the victims families a long long time ago and I wanted to take this opportunity to express my sadness and sympathy to our Jewish friends in the forum. Last night I was thinking about this. I thought how can annyone deny that this happened? If you believe it did not would you mind telling why? If you believe that it did how did, you come to that conclusion?

Thanks so much for your answers.

Respectfully,
Muslimah
