No,Not fair at all. There is a little ironic thing about this subject in that there are many Islamic states in the world.
So to teach about Saudi Arabia, Iran, and many others one must teach about Islam as their governments are set by Islamic law. Our country was founded as a Christian nation, but the bastardization of our Constitution and the bill of rights by a minority of our people have basically changed the face of our country. This minority claims that there is wording in our founding documents that state "freedom from religion." Nowhere will anyone find those words. "Freedom OF religion" is what is stated. From and of have totally different meanings. Of course this they know and that is why they state it as "from." To change the meaning to suit their agenda.
It is also ironic that homosexuality, abortion, "safe sex" evolution, and many other things are taught as right and righteous while Christian beliefs are taboo. The founders used the words " supreme being" in the founding documents which I imagine the few want to see removed.
Abortion was made into law by using the court system which that court system was never meant to do. So 9 justices decided for the minority that their views be forced onto the majority.
If you speak about creationism today, the few will tell you that you are stupid and uneduated. Because, of course, they have these "facts" about evolution which are really only conclusions and absurd ones at that.
The few blame religion for all wars which it also absurd. If there were no religion all of the wars would have been fought anyway. As wars are about power and control and nothing else.
George Washington stated words to this effect: " We must be careful in the wording of these documents, as a minority may wish to impose their views onto the majority."
He was a very smart man. The separation of church and state as stated in the documents meant only that our government can not impose a religion onto anyone but again the minority takes that to mean something else to suit their agendas.

I guess its fair as people should know the truth , the should know the Holy Book of Islam even if they dont emrace islam but they should read books because they should see what is in the book which have the greatest respect for Jesus(PBUH) and Bible.

What public schools are you talking about? I've never heard of one that teaches any religious course. If you're talking about universities, most teach surevy courses of Western religions which encompasses both.

I am a free thinker.
And i don't think one should really talk about fairness here. Its simply an indirect implication that someone/something has to be blamed for this unfairness. All it does is that it perpetuates the conflict. Religions are meant to be guidelines for better spiritual understanding, and not a form of identity that alienates one from the rest, right?
No offence, but i find religious conflicts ironic. In the name of faith, they perform violence. What are they proving? Intolerance? Violent nature? I cant think of anymore. Just my 2 cents worth from all the violence that happened.

Religion has no place in any public schools. Children should not be exposed to religion period, but certainly not on the public teat.

Yeah, America is clearly becoming more pro-Muslim / anti-Christian. I dare you to say "Merry Christmas" next month, out in public, and see how many "politically correct" atheists get all bent out of shape about it.
