Three-in-oneness in the Godhead:
When God was about to create man He said, "Let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness, (GEN. 1:26)
After Adam And Eve had fallen into sin, God said, "The man has now become like one of US, knowing good and evil.(Gen.3:22)
NOTE: the phrase "like one of US" refers back to verse 5, "like God ". As is true with (Gen. 1:26) this verse supports plurality within the Godhead.
Later, when sinful mankind was attempting to erect the Tower of Babel, God said,"Come, let US go down and confuse their language so that they will not understand each other"(Gen.11:7)
Many centuries later, Isaiah had a vision in the temple during which God commissioned him to service. God asked Isaiah,"Whom shall " I " send? And who will go for US?'' And Isaiah said,"Here am I. Send me!'' (Isaiah 6:8)
In other words, we do not find in the NT the birth of a new novel concept of God. Indeed,"the doctrine of the trinity does not appear in the NT in the making, but already made.
