The trinity represents GOD in three parts, not three seperate beings. The best way I can think to explain it is this. A man is born , grows up gets married and has children. This makes him a father, a son and a husband, while at the same time he remains one person, one being. Therefore GOD too can be Father, Son and Holy Ghost without being three gods..its just a little more complicated than my example.

You have a cup of coffee,
the cup has a handle, it has a outside, and a inside

but the cup is one. But functions as 3 parts. With out the inside of the cup your could not hold your coffee, that is the Holy Spirit
then you have the outside of the Cup, that is God, without the outside, you could not have the inside, nor the outside,
and the handle, is Christ, if you do not hold onto his hand, in this life, you will not get to meet God, and drink the living water of the Holy Spirit which they all have the same goal,
for all man kind to find them all, an have life, joy, peace, and love,
and live forever with them,

Christians believe there is only ONE GOD, and The Son of God who is Jesus. Read the Holy Bible (KJV) You will then learn alot about Christians.

We believe in one God, in three parts. All are equally God, but without eachother, they are not god. The fahter, the son, and the spirit. Thin kof it as an Egg: The shell, the white, and the yolk. Seperate, they have a purpose, and can acomplish things, but without the other parts, it's not an egg. Much like God. Jesus is God, but not by Him self. It's like they all work together to be God, and seperatly, they are nothing, but they are never without eachother. Sorry, i hope I helped.

Do you have a body, mind, and soul? Of course you do. Does this mean that there are 3 of you? God is a Father, he created us. God has a spirit, the Holy Spirit. And God is our Savior and redeemer, the Messiah Jesus Christ. God did all of these things through which he did them.

For the Christians who say that Jesus "isn't" God -- you call Jesus "God" every time you refer to Jesus as "Lord" -- for there is only ONE Lord. In your "ignorance", ye have spoke the truth. When that man called Jesus "Good Master" in the Bible, why did Jesus turn around and rebuke him for it? That's because the man didn't believe that Jesus was God, so he would have applied the term "Good Master" to just anyone. If Jesus "isn't" God, then he would have rebuked his apostles for calling him "LORD", for there is only one LORD -- God himself. Truly his apostles spoke the truth when they called Jesus LORD.

I used the analogy of the apple when I was a Christian. You have the peel, the meat and the core. all apple but three distinct parts.

Man, as i read some of these answers, I wonder if my analogy is as lame as theirs. I bet it is.

I am now pagan, so I have no problem with many god and goddesses.

Christians believe in one God and one God ONLY. Once again
one God only.
He has chosen to manifest Himself in three Persons.
! God, 3 Persons. Easy, simple. Christians are monotheists.

Jesus is God. Christians do not say there is three gods just that God has shown himself in 3 ways Jesus came from God reterned to God and is Gods gift of salvation. if you forgive some one it comes from you is not seperate from you.yeshua ( jesus) is salvation ( forgiveness) for those who accept him.
