Jews are biblically allowed to have multiple wives. However a rabbinic enactment about 700 years ago limited it to only one wife. A woman can only be married to one man (even biblically). Sefardic Jews were not bound by this enactment necessarily yet polygamy is virtually not practiced today by Jews (or perhaps even by none of them at all).

For Christians and Jews the Biblical model of marriage is one man and one woman, e.g. Adam and Eve.

Any sect of either faith that practices polygamy is abnormal.

Allowed by who? Governments? Their teachings? Most polygamists are secret and they modify the teachings of the parent organization to suit their desires. The largest groups of them I know of are in Utah. But there are many around the world. Most other countries tolerate them.
