I thank God every morning when I wake up, thanking Him for another day. I thank Him throughout the day for opening my eyes to the Truth, for my meals, for my son, when I balance my checkbook, when I find $5 at the bottom of my purse when I have no gas in my car, when I get a good report from the doctor (and that's rare).... When I hear of deaths on the news, I pray that He lets them rest in peace and that His purpetual light shine upon them, when I hear the fire trucks and ambulances go by, I pray that no one is serious hurt or dead and that all will be fine for those people.... I thank God every night when I lie in bed, thanking Him for letting me have another day to experience and to learn and I pray for another day.
My health is very poor, am on 5 pills and now a gluten-free diet. On disability, low income and raising a son on my own. My life isn't fun many times but I thank God for it. I learn something new every day. There are times that I start to cry and grumble but then I pray and I calm down and remember that I have a lot compared to others on this earth. I have an apartment, a car, food, clothes, my son is in school, we have hobbies, etc. I have a lot to be thankful for. God helps me in good times and bad. I thank Him more than I ask for things. I pray for others more than I pray for myself. I try not to be selfish. He gives me the necessities for life and some extras.
