arther e clark says its jesus in the new testement ,rekins in luke mary was told jesus means salvation?
at his website titled ' yeshua in the tamach ',he says 'yeshua 'is the hebrew name meaning salvation
can any of you who speak hebrew confirm any of this?
what chapter and verse says jesus shall be called salvation?

I posted this question an hour or so ago. OOPS!
I should have said my daughter's boyfriends MOTHER!

And I'm not sure how to edit the question, so thanks to those answered, and sorry about the mistake.

I would like the chapter and verse in the Bible in regaurds to the following
Divorce and relationships after marriage?
Being judgemental of others, as a christian?
Being humble?
Charity, what is means to be charitable?
I ask as I know there is some refernce to these questions in the Bible. But can not remember which book, chapter or verse.

My daughters boyfriend's MOTHER has infered that she is better than any of us, because she goes to church and Bible studies every week. What an ego! I find this comment offencive, very unchristian like, and far from be humble or non judgemental.

Her ex-husband is a lovely bloke, as is his son. She has a boyfriend which does not sit well with me when she wines about her son and my daughter living together! Kind of hypocrititical.

I ask this question knowing it's answer but wanting to get reactions of Christians who believe the Word to be Truth. Was it an apple or literal fruit that Adam and Eve partook of? Is God's story a fairy tale such as that?Or was it maybe symbolic?Could it have been adultery that Eve commited with the serpent being seduced which is the original translation. If not, why is Cain a murderer and not mentioned in the geneology of Adam in Gen. 5.? Why does 1 John say Cain was of the wicked one? Why does Gen. 3:15 say that the serpent have a seed? Why does Jude 14 record that Enoch was the seventh from Adam? If the seed of the woman was God reproducing Himself in human flesh, could this have been Satan's way in which he was able to open the door to himself into the human race? And if the latter is not true, why has there always been warring twins in scripture? esau and jacob? Ishmael and Isaac? Moses and Pharaoh? Judas and Jesus? Having emnity. Are we not the fruit of our mother and father?

If you read Luke : 16: 6-9:- After the Master apreciated his manager saying " that dishonest manager acted Shrewdly" Jesus commented that "the Children of this age are more Shrewd (wise) in dealing with their own generation then the children of Light"

Please explain me the context and what really was Jesus teaching from this.

Nowadays i find it hard believing the one who preach us... the so-called "the witnesses of God on Earth" because they can no longer set good examples worth following. for instances, past and present religions have killed and broke out wars in the name of God. Is still out there religions using images even though God has Prohibited all sort of idolatry no matter what... I reackon they may fear breaking this tradition because somehow it may lead to them lose their faithful followers to others religions. I mean this is not popularity contest right? It should be done what must be done to glorify The Almighty One because of his unfailing love for us. That is to say, in my view, every religions has it flaws and i can't see none of Big Religion Leaders out there bother to change it in the name of the God. Still has to come one brave enough. Instead, most of they prefer to turn a blind eye.... But meanwhile they do wars in the name of the God or something like that. Confusing is not it?

the plotters were all catholics who attempted a terrorist plan to blow the houses of parliament and king james. part of the poem' remember remember the 5th of november........' continues with buying bread and cheese to choke the pope, who knew of the plot.
should this anti-catholic practice be banned ?

he just recently had a qaudrouple bypass surgery less than two weeks ago. as a result of not being able to work, the gas in his home was cut off. he lives in an old home with his wife and four children. the electical wiring in the house was real poor. and becase of that yesterday the house caught fire, and now he is homeless with is wife and kids...the house may be salvageable, but he has no money nor did he have insurance. my mother and he have lived in that home for thirty years. is there ANYONE WHO CAN DIRECT US TO SOME HELP IN STARTING THEIR LIVES OVER? If Christians are right ....all the muslims, buddhists jews etc will go to hell. If Muslims are right all the christians, buddhists jew etc go to hell. Which is the correct religion to follow and what will happen to all the people in diferent religions? I think all organised religion is nonsense ...follow God in your heart!

I'm putting up the Christmas tree, sharing gifts and love with my family and attending Christmas Eve mass. The church is so beautifully decorated and I have so many loving memories of this time. MY wife always goes overboard on the outide decorations but the kids love it. Hehe

I am looking for a though out question....How "good a heart" makes the grade?

Realize a good heart means different things in the diverse worldviews of all God's cultures and peoples. I have heard stories from Americans living in the Middle East. They say the people they meet have such good hearts. They are SO much more hospital to strangers(even to "rich white Americans") and caring of their neighbors that they put the average Americans to shame. They also give more to the poor than we do(percentage wise). But of course the same Muslim person might believe it is fine to support terrorism against Islam's enemies or makes his wife feel like a second class citizen. Do these people have a good enough heart for heaven?
2nd part: What insight do u have that a holy "God" would agree that your system is better/fair? (Those who don't believe in Heaven as well as devout x-ians pls abstain from this. Thanks.)

Christians along history were never able to explain the trinity thing (Father, Son & Holy Spirit), which sounds rediculous and after all un-logical.. I do not want to hear about Jesus mircles all messangers and prophets had mircles, I want to know who came up with silly idea , and why does any body has to accept this stupid idea that God is 3 !!!

We see fall of Adam in Gen. 3. End is a puzzle when it comes to verses 22: "And the LORD God said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
Let’s concentrate on Verse 22. The phrase “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil(KJV)” needs discussion. This phrase implies the ability to distinguish between good & evil came into humanity only after sin by eating from forbidden tree; which also means that human beings were not having the ability to distinguish good & evil before they disobeyed. Then, when the choice was made to eat from forbidden tree, they decided without “the ability to distinguish between good and evil”. If that is the case, how can they be held responsible for the choice which came out of a natural intellectual vacuum which they inherited from birth, “without the decisive ability to know good and evil”.
