To the Yahoo Answers question "Why are Atheists held to higher standards than God believers?", a christian responded with the following words:

"Your question shows that you are arrogant and think you are better than Christians. Christians (a true Christian) admit to being sinners and needing God to help them. Atheists don't admit to being flawed in anything, and they don't think that they need anyone but themselves."

Atheists,is this what you believe? Do you "not admit to being flawed"? Does this person's perception of yourself and other atheists seem accurate to you? What are your beliefs in regard to virtue, human imperfection and character, including your own?

Incredibly, the eye, optic nerve and visual cortex are totally separate and distinct subsystems. Yet, together, they capture, deliver and interpret up to 1.5 million pulse messages a milli-second! It would take dozens of Cray SUPERCOMPUTERS programmed perfectly and operating together flawlessly to even get close to performing this task!!

Is it rational to believe that the eye (life) is the result of nature's trial and error or the design of an intelligent creator??

Haggard had resigned two days earlier as president of the National Association of Evangelicals, where he held sway in Washington and condemned homosexuality, after a Denver man named Mike Jones claimed to have had drug-fueled trysts with him. He also had placed himself on administrative leave from the New Life Church, but its Overseer Board took the stronger action Saturday.

"Our investigation and Pastor Haggard's public statements have proven without a doubt that he has committed sexually immoral conduct," the independent board said in a statement.

I am having trouble with faith. I've gone to church I've been saved. I've also done serious soul searching in alternate religons and things... I've done everything I thought I should and the whole time I felt like I was just playing pretend... I want to believe in something... I need to.. I just feel lost. I need help healing inside. What can I do. What do you do when you feel yourself slipping? Please no atheists on this one. I have no problems with anyones personal preferences but this isn't an issue on whether or not to believe in something its how can I strengthen my bond with a higher power. If this is true does that mean we could say most Ahteists worship science?

Hi, im starting to write a paper about Islam's Military Success in the Middle Ages. I read thru the Koran, and now i have to write a paper using things i quoted from the Koran about passages tha concern Christians(and other non muslims) and passages that encourage warfare against non-muslims. Im trying to think of a good thesis, any advice? thanks!
