That is a very good question.
I just received, on my door, a leaflet from some group claiming that their religion is the true religion and to be wary of false religions that are going to come to an end.
I believe I understand now. If these people who believe so strongly that their religion is the ONLY religion were to wake up one day and think.. um what if?? They might have to admit that their whole lives have been wasted believing in one of those so-called false religions. Who wants to believe that their lives have been wasted.
It is the same logic that keeps people, who should be smarter, standing behind a war that never made any sense from the beginning because of the rhetoric that says "if we change our minds then those that have died have somehow died in vain."
Oh, yes, that makes sense, so if 5000 people have died in vain, then somehow 5000 or 50000 or 5000000 more people dead will somehow mean that the first didn't die in vain.
If people had to be honest for 10 seconds then they would have to admit that they were wrong and we know that most folks would rather die than do that...

1. Because it follows the teachings of the Bible completely.
2. Free will is what gives me the right to choose the true religion.
BTW. I've seen a lot of comments on here about all roads leading to God, and people all serving the same God, but that's not what the Bible says. It states that there are two roads to travel, one is narrow and few are the ones finding it, and the other is broad and spacious leading off into destruction. (Matthew 7:13,14) There's only one true God. (Isaiah 44:6; 1 Corinthians 8:5, 6) So, everybody can't all be serving the same God, because if they were, we'd have only one true religion. Just some food for thought. Good post!
Peace.

All in the mind. No religion is better that the other all are the same God has inspired the the writers to compose the scriptures. It is bad to think of others religion being false. One should worship as he wants and let others do the same
Every one has the right to Choose whatever way they want to worship there must be no compulsions. All religions are Good

I am Catholic Christian, love my religion, because I grew up with it, it gives me tools today how to behave and survive in this world (this is what I was educated in, so what I know the most), but I do not let my religion to dominate my view and thinking. I believe everyone were created by one creator, be it Jesus, Allah, ..., you name it. As such, everyone is perfect to me, and I do not border my mind with my religious beliefs. I let others be, as I want others to let me be. I see different religions as different languages - why should everyone speak my language? For me it would be waste of time to expect that. Yet I respect others to speak other languages - to have different religion and I take it as the opportunity to learn out of these differences. There are issues in e.g. Hinduism that we don't have in Catholicism and if this can make me better human, I'll take it. Same goes for Buddhism, Islam, paganism, etc.

Dear Froggie the manuscripts of the new testament from earliest
to later can be placed one atop an other any changes can be seen .There are few and are noted in many Bibles,What the original writers wrote can be read.
They tell of the resurrection of Yeshua the anointed of God.
12 Jewish men left home jobs and families to follow this itinerant preacher,
then after His death and resurrection they taught the good news that God loves you this much . Most were tortured to death and didn't say hold it I was lying!
Why ?Because of what they witnessed.
Jesus rose from the dead .That shows He is right!
He is preeminent and over all ,not because I am right ,but
because he's God.

In each religion there are two levels. One level is exclusivistic and expansionist. That is to say, each religion says, we have the truth and if you want to have the truth, join us. That is the exclusivist, expansionist, lower type of religion. All religions have that lower type. But in religions there is also a higher type, a type which is universal in its orientation, which is all-embracing in its love, which is non-discriminating between members of its own community and those outside. That good, humanistic, open tendency in all religions will have to be brought to the top. It is there. It only needs to be emphasized further. Only that way will we promote Peace on Earth.

I believe that the true church would have to have direct priesthood authority directly from Jesus Christ, The only Churches who have a legitimate claim to this are the Catholics (through Paul) and the Mormons through the priesthood being restored and given to Joseph Smith by Jesus Christ. But all organized Christian religion has some truths just not all of the truth. They are all inherently good if they teach morality and good human values. Plus they give people something to believe in and to have faith in.

It's truth is borne out by experience. The New Testament describes God as He proves Himself to be. The promises in The New Testament are found to be true by experience. They are backed up by works of power.

Most people are pre-destined to follow the religion of their parents. It happens that I rejected all the religions, and believe in higher power and good deeds. Still, most people follow what they are told from birth. No such thing as true, or false religion. Our deeds should be are guide and our religion.

Come on dude. Get your question together. The second line is moronic. We each have the right to choose. If you don't like the constitution, try the experience of life. I have the right to choose just as you have the right not to choose.
First question - What makes my religion true? What proof would satisfy you? The Bible lists half of dozen or so. The one I prefer is I have met a God who loves both of us - equally and cares enough to show it by dying for us.
