Since its a theory its neither. But darwin himself did admit its highly unlikely that everything evolved from one single cell.

Natural selection is true. But natural selection does not change one species into another, it simply "evolves" a species into a more fit type of the same species.

Below excerpt is taken from "The Present" on Truth Contest. --- Charles Darwin revealed how evolution works, but not what it really means. Evolution is no longer just a theory; it has been proven true beyond a reasonable doubt. The problem is, even people who believe evolution is true disassociate themselves from the process. They somehow skipped all the lower forms of animal life and just started out at the top of the evolutionary ladder. The evidence says we evolved as life evolved. Human beings did not just appear at the top of the evolutionary ladder to reap the benefits of those millions of years of evolution without having to live through it. In other words, you were those other animals. You had to be lower animals to be a human now. You lived as all the different animals in your evolutionary line. You lived through millions of years, and millions of lives and deaths to get to where you are now. That's what Darwin's book means. In addition to the fossil evidence, the genetic code proves that all animals, including us, evolved from bacteria over the last 700 million years on earth. In other words, you were a microbe, an insect, a fish, a dinosaur, an ape... When all of the evidence (100%) says something happened, and there is no evidence (zero) that anything else could have happened, it is the truth beyond a reasonable doubt to honest, rational people. We have come a very, very long way, but we have a little further to go. The next and last step in our evolution is learning and accepting the truth of life, and this includes acknowledging our true past.

Ok. Let's start with the proper definition of theory, as applied to science: a statement of what are held to be the general laws, principles, or causes of something known or observed. Now, in American vernacular, one often holds a theory to be an idea, a flawed fact--no, this is a hypothesis. Before anyone can debate whether the Theory of Evolution is true or not, one should understand the applicable definitions. And chances are, we developed from some earlier form of life. We probably were not placed here by any type of intelligent being. We are one planet orbiting one star of a galaxy of 500 million stars. Further, the universe holds countless other galaxies of similar size. Saying we are the only godly people and were put here by divine providence is just as farcical to me as saying we were created out of nothing, and women were created from my left rib.

Darwins theory is false. No missing link has ever been found. There should be billions if everything evolved from something else. If you ask a antheist why there have never been any links found he'll just give you a 40 page read on the theory of evolution that only a professor studying evolution would understand it or go off on something about plancton.

I don't see what reason we have to believe it's false. The only people who have a problem with it are the people who are pushing an agenda. You don't see non-Christian scientists debating evolution; it's only "fundies." That in itself is a little suspicious.

If the theory was really that flawed or flat-out wrong, why isn't there more of an outcry in the scientific community? Why don't more independent scientists reject it, then? Is it a conspiracy or something? It makes no sense when creationists and Bible literalists claim the theory is BS and at the same time, so many separate scientific foundations and research groups have no problem with it whatsoever. This debate only exists in the media and on forums like these, not with scientists.

Evolution is basically. an attempt, to explain ,the origin of life, from matter and energy, without the aid of know-how. It represents the attempt to explain the formation of genetic code from chemical components of DNA, without the aid of a genetic concept, or information – originating outside the molecules of the chromosomes.
This is comparable to the assumption that the text I’ve written here originated from the molecules of the ‘paper’ on which it is written upon.
According to the tenets of evolution there exists neither a God of love or morality, only chance really exists. The laws of matter, chance and natural selection alone have created us, and this eliminates such terms as love, and morality as problems to be taken seriously.

It's a theory. Meaning it hasn't been proven one way or the other yet. It just happens to have a lot of support from intelligent and educated people. And lots of people working to determine whether it's true, and to what extent.

So, if you're swayed by Dr.s and people with lots of letters behind their name then you can lean towards Evolution. If you're swayed by what your religious leader tells you to think, go creationism.

If you're not a sheep and you like to think for yourself...do some research on your own and make a decision when you're ready.

multiple points of Darwin's theory have been proven false. But other points have been quite confirmed by modern Science and others the judge is still out on.

the question is the THEORY of gravity true of false

It's true enough to stop you from believing in mysticism and mindlessly obeying your elders. Unless you're planning to become a scientist, the theory of evolution probably won't affect your life too much, but it's good to know anyway. More important than the origin of species is what are your passions? What are you going to dedicate your life to learning, creating, and perfecting in the world and in yourself?

You all call christians and religious people dumb and know nothings. My word tells me to test him, to work out my salvation, to study...so I do. Im no scientest but I have studied enough to know that evelution makes me want to grab a barf bag beacuse at the sight of the masses that stupidly flock to it.
DARWIN DISPROVED IT! In his latter latter years.
Evlution can be disproven just beacuse of our eyes.
Its way to complex for me to rember exactly why, but that what he said, and he encouraged people to put down the notion at the end beacuse he was wrong...He disproved his own theroy.
I have disproven it to my teachers and science scolers but right now my mind has blanked and I cant think of all the things, and there are pages worth of information that would make evlution a pathetic thing to stand by. It honestly takes more faith to beleve in that then it dose for me to stand by my proven to be true God.
Stand by therory, I stand by things that are real.
