The Bible shows very clearly that there is only one God, and yet that there are three personal distinctions in His complex nature, traditionally referred to as "three Persons in the Godhead"—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct from the others but never acts independently. They are one in nature and purpose. This mystery is called the doctrine of the Trinity, though that term is not used in the Bible. The teaching, however, is present in seed form in the Old Testament and is revealed explicitly in the New Testament. Note passages such as Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God, which is nevertheless a fact. We must accept the truths found in the Word of God by faith even though we ourselves cannot comprehend them fully; read Hebrews 11:1,3,6 and 1 Corinthians 2:5-10;14; 13:12. It is really not surprising that the infinite God should be complex in His nature beyond the ability of finite humans to comprehend! This doctrine is absolutely essential to New Testament Christianity. Theologians have pointed out that if it were not true, the Bible would be unreliable, Christ would not be divine, and His death on the cross would not atone for our sins, being merely the death of a martyr.

Think about it this way:
Take a pot of water, and divide it into three parts. One part can go on the stove to be boiled, so that it will turn into steam. Another part can be put in the freezer, so it will turn into ice. Keep the third part as is.
You will then have three different forms of water, but they're still all made of the same compound, and are still from the main body of water that you started with.
That is the closest analogy I know of in order to explain the Trinity.
Some say that Jesus couldn't be God because He prayed to God. That isn't entirely true. He was/is another part of God, sort of like the water that was put into the freezer so it could become solid. Therefore, He was/IS God.
Jesus is God in the flesh. The Holy Spirit is what God sent in place of Jesus. And God, of course, is much like unaltered water (from my little analogy). But they're still all God.
A man can be a father, a son, and a husband, but he's still a man. His actual existence doesn't change, just the "form" he's in and the purpose he serves.
I hope this helps.

God is simply one being in three distict parts or persons. The reason it seems illogical (un-logical is not a word) is because God exists in more than just three dimensions. If we were to try and describe to a two-dimentional being what it is like to live in three dimentions, they would have a difficult time understanding that as well. God can move about through time just as easily as we can walk across a room.
Analogies do not prove or disprove a concept, but they can help us to understand. My favorite analogy for the trinity is cherry pie. Not the kind that you buy at the store where the filling is more like a thick, nasty gelatin with cherries in it, but the kind where the filling is more like a syrup that oozes out of the crust when you put it on your plate. If you were to cut that cherry pie into three equal pieces, then you have three persons, but the filling cannot be cut into pieces, it stays altogether the same pie or being. St. Patrick of Ireland used a different analogy. He compared the trinity to a shamrock, which is a three-leaved plant You can see three distinct leaves, even though there is but one shamrock. Remember, these are only analogies, and they break down somewhere, but if you have an open mind, you can at least begin to understand.
I must leave you with a warning. No one can understand anything about God unless he first gives you that ability. God knows who will accept Him and His truths and if you are not one of those people, you will never understand the mysteries of the Bible.

If you research the bible the word trinity and the idea it has come to represent isn't there. It is a tradition created by man like so many other religious traditions.
Mat 15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
Mat 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
It is true however that the God head is comprised of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God the father is simply the physical Image of God, The Son is simply the physical image of Jesus, the holy spirit is God the Father's spirit, and they are one in essence not necessarily One person. In fact Christ even said that we are all god's (little g) Not that we will all be come a God but when you become a follower of Christ you become in a way apart of the family, and therefore you are God's. You are one with him he is one with you. You are one in essence. Sort of like when a man and woman become married. They become one, this is why both God the son and God the fathers return are metaphorically described as a marriage, and Christ the bridegroom and we Christians the bride.

1 John 1:1 and 1:14, 1Timothy 3:16. We will never understand every thing about God. However the Bible proves itself with fulfilled prophecy, you might try a search on fulfilled bible prophecy or just Bible prophecies and find some answers.
Example, think of the Sun as God, the light as Christ and the heat from the sun as the Holy Spirt, all three are one. Read the above scriptures and think about it.

First learn how to spell, it's miracles and messengers. If you can't understand language properly, then how can anyone help you understand the Trinity. It's beyond human comprehension. God doesn't have to explain himself to you or anyone else for that matter. It may seem rediculous to you, but truthfully the only way to God the Father is through God the Son. For your feeble mind think of it like this...it's sort of like he has split personalities. That's the only way that I can seem to put it for you. Unless you understand Christianity, you cannot understand the answer to your question. And furthermore no one person can answer your question without giving you a book for an answer. It's called the Bible. You should try reading it sometime. It's an excellent history lesson if you get nothing else out of it.

In 1882 and 1883, two scientists checked these people out before any modern ideas could get to them....... and they quoted a missionary, who had been with the tribe for 20 years before they got there. They had NO concept of gods or spirits at all...... after a missionary had been with them for 20 years? Really? Was this in California?

Well it looks like I just got up in time to dress for church & to answer your question, There is some Christians that can answer this. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, They are not (names) but a title to a name, So we know that redemption has to come through something that is perfect. Now we have to find out what that redemptive name is, Many trinity people try to use Matt.28:19 without even knowing what it said, By Baptising in the (NAME) singular name) & not NAMES, (PLURAL) As you will study throughtout the bible Every Apostles of OLD baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ, & Jesus himself gave PETER the keys( THE REVELATION) of who Jesus was, & yet people many times say they would take what Jesus says over what Peter says, How stupid, Do people think that Jesus would give the Keys(REVELATION) to the kingdom of heaven knowing that Peter & all the other Apostles would mess it all up by Baptising in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. No. So the trintiy teachings came in later on through the Catholic church, in 312 AD they adopted it has a Dotrine changing God's word to that of a lie. So now we have to see what redemptive name God use, In the scriptures Jesus says I have come in my father name, therefore when Jesus told them in Matt.28:19 In the NAME(SINGULAR) Of the father, son, holy ghost, Now we have to see what that NAME is, & not NAMES(PLURAL) Father is not a name, son is not a name & holy ghost is not a name, They are TITLES TO A NAME, Now what is that redemptive name, It is Jesus Christ, That is why Jesus said I have came in my Father name, & the bible says whatsoever you do rather in word or DEED(BAPTISM) do it ALL in the name of Jesus Christ. Therefore The Apostles of Old, That is why throughout the new Testament everyone was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is that NAME,God is the Creator, Jesus is the redeemer, The Holy Ghost is the comforter, But all the same Spirit, Jesus was not God but the SON of God, The Holy Ghost did not even dwell in Jesus until he was Baptized by John & when the Holy Ghost came into Jesus, God said this is my beloved Son in whom I am well please(to dwell in) Who die, Not God, But Jesus, So now I see GOD the Creator, Then I see God in his SON without measure & then I see God the Holy Ghost as the comforter, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, There is ONE SPIRIT, ONE GOD, ONE FAITH, & ONE BAPTISM, I see God in 3 offices of the same Spirit & not 3 different persons, First God is not a person But A spirit, Jesus was the redeeming person as God dwelled in his son redeeming the world back unto himself, & GOd as the Holy Ghost, You have 3 offices here & not 3 different spirits or 3 different persons, Example, I am a husband & I am a dad, & I am a grand dad, But I am only one Spirit working in 3 different offices & not 3 different spirits. The trinity theory came from the Catholic teachings & it spread to other Denominations as time went on.

Just like God uses you to confound the wise. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it wrong or stupid. God is also in the business of answering questions, if you would ask.
God is the Father
Jesus is the Son
Holy Spirit is the Counselor
They were in existence before the earth was formed and before the Bible was written. And it doesn't matter if you understand or not.
