someone in another question just said that atheists are trying to spur critical thought by bashing peoples faiths. What good can come of belittling people's customs? What are you making me think about when you tell me the Virgin Mary is a whore or that Yaweh is a bad role model? Why invoke feelings of dissention in cultures. Would you attack the Chinese or Russians this way? Serious question.

As a Muslim male I can't stand females being treated like ****
Women you need to change this problem ...but you need to start by waking up.

Why are SOME Muslim woman in denial of there religion being so suppressive of them?
You can't even pray together(males and females) woman have to sit way in the back ..how can anyone say there is nothing wrong because there is something very wrong with this picture

Judaism does doesn't allow men and women to pray together, the idea is that people/male focus on their praying.
Why are males so weak ...Who really made up this rule

I have no problem with the female sitting in the front while we males sit in the back rooms for a change

If they(females) are not suppressed then why is it in the UK that %60 of Mosks don't allow women in at all? And in a programme last night it showed Muslim women fighting to be allowed into Mosks......Very Embarrassing to me as a Muslim man to know Muslim males are doing this to Muslim women

i have the answers to that question and this is the proof you people need to wake up to.
American history will show that this statement is a lie. The men responsible for building the foundation of the United States had little use for Christianity, and many were strongly opposed to it. They were men of The Enlightenment, not men of Christianity. They were Deists who did not believe the bible was true.
When the Founders wrote the nation's Constitution, they specified that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." (Article 6, section 3) This provision was radical in its day-- giving equal citizenship to believers and non-believers alike. They wanted to ensure that no single religion could make the claim of being the official, national religion, such as England had. Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention religion, except in exclusionary terms. The words "Jesus Christ, Christianity, Bible, and God" are never mentioned in the Constitution-- not once.

I am studying Hebrews 5:1-4 where it seems to imply high priests still existing. Some people believe the high priests were no longer appointed after the Romans destroyed the temple. I didn't know the Romans destroyed the temple and the Jews apparently began meeting in synagoges and that's when Rabbi's came about. Where can I learn more about this? Is this in the Bible somewhere? Anyone have any good resources on the internet or at the library?

Muslims don't practice tolerance, but they demand it for their misogyny, their anti-Semitism, and the religious hatrred that is regularly preached in their mosques, forced marriages, honor killings gang rapes and a homicidal loathing of homosexuals. Question: will Europe wake up and repudiate this phony tolerance for medieval people or succumb to them?

I am not implying that there is no heaven. What i am suggesting though, is perhaps heaven is right here on this planet of pain. And that if we look close enough, and open our hearts we may see it, touch it, and taste it. What do you think, do you agree?

Dec 25th was recognized as the winter solstice day. The day attributed to Mithras' birth LONG before Jesus was said to have been born on that day. So either suck it up and give up on claiming Halloween is evil or admit your hypocrisy that Christmas isn't evil as well.

Why is it people who do not believe in a religion or in a God ask so many questions in the Religion and Spirituality section? And by ask I mean insult religions (Christianity for the most part)? Is it simply to provoke a reaction or to gain insight on something you don't understand? I'm not trying to come off as condescending, I just don't understand.

I remember Tom Cruise telling Matt Lauer, "You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do!" Oh, really? Are we supposed to believe that he spent hours studying psychiatry texts and journals while he wasn't filming movies or jumping on Oprah's couch? Also, there was a feature on "48 Hours" about a young schizophrenic man who killed his mother while he was in a psychotic state. His parents were Scientologists who didn't believe that he needed meds or counseling, and for that reason, they didn't get him the help he so desperately needed and now his mother is dead as a result.
