I think that we have carried tolerance too far, in that we end up tolerating things that are just plain wrong, that we have removed from our own cultures years, decades, centuries ago. We had many cultural and religious revolutions, which tended to sort things out and lead to a more logical way of thinking, behaving, making decisions. In particular, we created a set of laws that change over time and are appropriate to the modern world. The worry is that people who are still living according to centuries-old laws will try to force us into adopting less-enlightened laws. We must not let this happen. We have to continue to value our own process, our democratic process, which has made us the modern societies we are.

i am muslim but i don't think muslims have a right to demand tolerance in new places. if they want to live in a non-muslim place than they have to adjust with the rules already there. A newcomer can't just come and expect things to be to their standards. And I think forcing religion and honor killings and all that is disgusting.

You don't see Christians demanding that their employers give them Sunday off. So why should extremist Muslims (note I said "extremists," not all Muslims do this) demand tolerance for these things?
Europe needs stricter security measures.

They can demand tolerance all they want. Doesnt mean Im going to tolerate their ugly behaviour and religion. Screw them. Tolerate a muslim long enough, and you will be either forced to conversion or killed. How tolerant is that?

They have a right on tolerance for their religion, not for the things you mentioned. The problem is that you equate them.

Ever since Mohammed returned to Mecca in 630 A.D., many muslim have tried to propagate their religion by the sword, or gun, or bomb, or whatever. They want for themselves what they cannot give others.

I don't know, I wish everyone would stay in their own countries and stay the hell out of the US. I can't speak for Europe. I know alot of US citizens would like to hang out a "NO VACANCY" sign.
