This question came to me after viewing an ad for a cancer treatment center. They focused on children, and showed a mother and child, who were both scared that the child would die. This made me wonder - if I had a child who was diagnosed with any life-threatening disease, would I (as an atheist) feel compelled to lie to them about what happens after death? To comfort them, of course. Would I suddenly want to tell them that they'd go to heaven, or perhaps adopt another religion's belief such as reincarnation? Or would I feel that telling them the truth - whatever I believe that to be - would be best?

I suspect I'd lie. I doubt I'd go the christian heaven route, but I might adopt the reincarnation theory.

What do you think you would do?

(I apologize if this question is in any way insensitive or brings up any painful memories or situations).

You know the evidence for Evolution is there. It's as plain as the nose on your face. But it goes against The Bible, so you outright reject it. Correct?

it even says to drink urin
Drinking Urine
Bukhari:V7B71N590 The climate of Medina did not suit some people so the Prophet ordered them to drink camel urine as a medicine.
Bukhari:V7B71N673 Allah's Apostle said, ‘If a fly falls in your drink, dip all of it into the cup and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing, an antidote or treatment for that disease.'

My own experience has been that every time there is suffering, something positive will come out of it. Be it greater understanding, more compassion or a feeling of divine providence. Suffering has to be transcended.
The Buddhist viewpoint that everything is suffering and the only way to stop it is to get out of the circle of existence seems to me to be a sure way to perpetuate suffering.
I'm asking because so many people in the West are turning to Buddhism these days and I would really like to know how do you explain the "suffering" part to yourself. No disrespect is meant.

The liger, mule and other such creatures prove the reproduction law, you cannot cross different SPECIES to get for ex:a snake that has eagle wings as a result of crossing a snake and an eagle. The liger is still a cat, just as a beagle crossed with a poodle is still a dog, you started with 2 dogs. Crossing within the horse family will get you a mule but it is still yet the result of matting within the horse family. All of the above support the law for reproducing, as found in the book of Genisis. God made this law and even though man has tried to prove it wrong, the law still stands! The Word of the Lord will stand forever! Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed are those who take refuge in Him

any employer who advertised a job that included the words "no muslims" would be prosecuted - yet this is exactly wat faith schools do. They only allow children whose parents have a particular religion. Why do we let them get away with it?
