Preys Jesus - forcing everyone in school to learn by the bible is not right. Due to the fact many do not believe in the bilbe. I would never send my childern to a religous school for that fact.

The THEORY OF EVOLUTION is science and belongs in every biology class. Creationism is religious belief and has no place in a school. The people who are avid against evolution know nothing about it and do not want to know.

All school need to teach evolution because it is a theory that is used throughout life science. If a student misses this education, they will be behind if they ever want to go to college. Evolution is a scientific theory that is accepted by most (if not all) people in the life sciences. It is important for students to understand this information to move on. Creationism is a faith based theory. It is used primarily by religious people. Understanding creationism is only important if a student is going into a religious life. It is not the job of schools to teach students about faith and morality. Unless it is a religious school. While Creationism is a fairly simple theory that can be taught in a fairly short period of time, Evolution is a very complicated theory that take years to fully understand. Given the choice, it would be far better for schools to teach Evolution and accept that the time may have been waisted if it turns out that Creationism is correct.

Evolution is the way to go, not only because it's logical but because there is much more evidence of this as a fact than the Bible been the truth. Face it, the Bible is an ancient document written by people who used it to begin/further a religion. That's what it is. Sorry to the Christians but its the truth.

Say now you've got a classroom full of kids but some aren't Christian but then the Bible is brought out to show how man was created. What must those other kids who don't follow Christianity do? Even when the kids all originate from that country, not everyone believes the same thing.

"Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science.Evolution is promulgated as an ideology,a secular religion,a full-fledged alternative to Christianity, with meaning and morality.Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today."
This is a statement made by the eminent scientific philosopher and ardent Darwinian atheist Michael Ruse.("Saving Darwinism From the Darwinians" ,National Post,May 13,2000,pg.B-3

Even Ruse admits that evolution is a religion to the evoutionists who preach it so ardently. There is much debate on wether evolution is even a proven fact or not.Just due to that fact,we,as the public, should think of it as just a theory, and teach it as so in the schools. To many, creationism is also just a theory,so why shouldn't it also be given due time in the schools? Because evolution has NOT been proven,I think it only fair that evolution and creationism both should be taught in the scool system and let the hearers of each side decide for themselves what to believe.
Creationist scientists and Evolutionist scientists all have the same credentials. The only difference is that the Creationists believe in God.Why should that discredit them in any way?Evolutionists fear the Creationists because of the valid arguments Creationists have against evolution, and that is why they are fighting so vehemently against Creationism being taught in the schools. And that's not credible reason to stop it.Real learning is in the unbiased and objective teaching of both sides of the issue. Our children deserve that much consideration to their intelligence, don't you think?
Because of the degrading and ignorant insults Christians have endured from those who believe evolution is the only "logical" explanation to our existence,I am prepared to do whatever is necessary to see that Creationism will be taught in our schools and colleges.I have not based this decision on the Bible alone or the fact that I am a Christian.I have based this decision on the fact that there is scientific proof that points to a Creator, and there is scientific proof, from Creationist scientists, that evolution is undeniably full of errors that can no longer be denied or explained away.Christians need to stand up for what we believe, and stop letting the evolutionists and atheists cower us into submission. It is time to fight back and regain our rights as American citizens.Creationism may seem like it is religious-based ,but it is also scientifically -based facts just as Evolutionists say their religion(evolution) is,and since evolution is taught in the schools, then so should Creationism be taught. To do otherwise is a double standard.,and impedes on the rights of those who wish Creationism to be taught.

Evolution is too strongly taught as THE answer. Children should be encouraged to seek other possibilities, keeping in mind that there are aspects of evolution that are fact. Creationism has no basis in science, so does not belong in a science class. A comprehensive religious theory course would benefit students by exposing them to the various cultural groups out there.

I wouldn't teach evolution, unless all of the facts, showing that it couldn't have happened were shown. This would only be in the context of "people used to believe that.... and this is why it is wrong". For creation..."science has shown that the universe was probably started with a big bang.... and the Bible speaks of this beginning".

Evolution is science, so it should be taught. Creationism was made in direct opposition to Evolution and isn't science at all... but a religious idea to thwart those evil scientists. *wink* Ever notice though, it is only Christianity that supports Creationism... no other religion, that I have seen, has jumped on that band wagon... Yet all other religions believe that everything was created... most of us just agree that it was just the basics and everything evolved from there.

Evolution has earned a respected place in the scientific community. Papers upon papers have been peer reviewed and published to bring it this stature. When creationism makes its way into the scientific community through valid, peer reviewed publications, then we can begin to teach it in science class.

Why on Earth would we teach anyone anything that dates from the bronze age in a science class? Should we teach that the earth is flat, that the sun revolves around the earth, a moment's thought will tell you no.

In History or a Comparitive religion class maybe.

They BOTH should be taught as theories.

Many people believe in Creation

There is absolutely NO more proof for Evolution than there is for Creation.........Even Darwin admitted this before he died. It's a theory no more, no less.

My big thing is this.......WHY are Evolutionists afraid of another "theory". Are they afraid that theirs might not win out?
They use the courts to supress any other beliefs that we Americans might have.

I'm sorry to hear that your kids will never attend a religious school.
They only get to learn the secular aspect of life and that isn't such a good thing much of the time. I believe we all need good influence to offset the bad influence. Then and ONLY then can we make an informed choice because we have BOTH sides to look at and choose from.

Teach the facts and opinions. Highschool is a great place to introduce the facts and evidences for both Evo. and Creat.

The problem is Teachers and curriculum with an adjenda.
Kids are smart. Let the students talk with their parents and friends about what is right and wrong.

thats my opinion...
