As an atheist, their ignorance doesn't bother me personally. I do, however, feel frustrated at their stubborn refusal to open their eyes to reality.

A little lamb stares blankly not knowing exactly what to say. I think that most of the time people are just playing games when they patronize what you believe. They have no respect for themselves or any other life form. There are others too who try to valadate their beliefs by trying to belittle yours. I have even seen people with an attitude that beliefs or non belief about anything is silly. These are the "ignore it and it will go away" crowd. What you believe is very precious. It is life and death and we only get one shot at it. (Unless you are a reincarnate person) It matters. It may be the only thing that matters. So to answer your question. I get a little sad sometimes but not really angry to much. Its not about me anyway. It's all about Jesus.
May GOD richly bless you. (Belief or no belief)

Oh it is because they feel they are the only ones without stinky poop!! I guess it is just something that is inbreed in these people. They have nothing better to do than patronise others when it comes to beliefs. I can understand certain issues when people ask for an opinion. You learn after awhile to turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to it. You shake your head and move forward.

I can usually tell if a person is even in the same planet as me when I start to speak about my beliefs. If it is just small talk, I don't go into detail. If I feel they are patronizing me, I change the subject. If they disagree but want to talk, I love it. We can learn from each other.

I never get mad at Christians for Patronizing my beliefs because I was once in thier shoes. People are scared to find out the truth..its almost like finding out your wife has been cheating on you..in your head your coming up with ways to either justify it or to believe that she didn't do it...but in your heart you know it was wrong. If any christian or buddist or muslim attacks me with thier beliefs then I usually have a discussion with them. I just get annoyed at the amount of insane excuses they come up with when I disprove alot of things.

I've never had anyone patronize me. Tell me I'm wrong in my beliefs, sure, but certainly not patronize. Probably because I don't look like the kind of person you would want to patronize.

Believers seem to do it all the time, by saying things like "why are you angry at god" or "you really believe, you just don't want to". It bothers me because I don't understand how people can't seem to see that not everyone has the same beliefs as them.

I feel sad for them, not understanding and therefore fearing me and what I stand for. I am Pagan, and I recently met some very religious people and we got talking about religion. I wasnt very forthcoming about my faith as I know what problems it caused, but they found out and I got the whole 'you worship the devil' type of lecture, and they wanted to 'save' me etc. Luckily as I knew them well, over time I could explain it to them, non of them fear for me any more, they understand and are quite happy with my faith.... shame people on here dont take more time to listen, learn and understand.

At first it used to upset me until I understood their comments are out of ignorance. Now, I pray for them that they may open their hearts to the truth and really learn to have a relationship with God.

I know that I am smarter, stronger and just plain better than any of those idiots. So I just lean back, smile, and bite the head off of another kitty.
