Joseph knew she didn't have an "immaculate conception." If that man would've suspected for even one minute that the child in her belly wasn't his, he would not have been with her. Men back then and even most men today have way too much pride for that.
Mary and Joseph knew that they had been having sex, and didn't want to be judged for pre-marital sex... so they came up with a far fetched story...

Think here for a second.... if some girl today, said that god knocked her up.. would you believe her?

And please don't say "The bible says Mary is divine and had an immaculate conception" because the bible is a book, just like any other.

If any of them can be correct, then why not study all of them and then form your opinion. It would be absurd to stick to your beliefs without verifying them. I don't know how come people are so satisfied with their religion without evaluating it. Every religion tells non-believers the bad news of Hell. If you follow a religion, then you are a non-believer of another. Why take risk? Maybe the other one is right. The best approach is to study all of them.

The single most unprejudiced statement that can uttered by any human being with sincerity is

"O God! IF you are out there then guide me"

Please note that the statement has to relative to something. I used the word God, you can use any other word, but what is important here is the intention to be sincere in your efforts to strive for the truth rather than blinding following things. Moreover this statement contains an IF, so an atheist should be fine with that as well.

In Europe the European population is falling rapidly, studies have shown that the Europe will have 2 old guys(65 +) fo every young guy(25) by 2040.America will be old by 2060 (white man).
We are seeing that even in this modern world there is fighting on the grounds of religion and it is mostly between Christians and Muslims.
You know as I that every religion is an ideology , Muslim people in genral have not been awakened by science and believe the Quran blindly . Many of them are radicals or extremists and many have the potential. The no. of Islamic terrorists n this World is estimated between 4 Million to 10 million and the no. is growing.
Licence to genocide was acquired by your people in 1500 A.D.(Red Indians were slaughtered and their lands are now yours)
In 1900 A.D. when Aborigines of Australia met a similar fate.
And by Hitler against Jews.(Many christian institutions were with him)
If you do not Acquire this licence in 40 years time again you may
face your capture by Muslims.
Muslims are producing 4+ kids per family by 2020 their population will be 2.3 billion +
So how are you going to surmount this problem without resorting to genocide?

I have read allot of comments coming from atheist stating that "the more education one has, the less they beleive" I dont know where you get your information from but just look at the history chanel..ALl those historians looking for the biblical marking on the earth today..Go to an advocate hospital and you will see doctors praying with the patient before there surgery. These are just a few..I think these people has had extensive amount of learning...So why would u think that education will make christians beleive less??

I've been wondering that. Because strictly speaking their could be evolution and God. As far as i know Evolution doesn't explain the beginning of the universe and if it did that wouldn't make much sense. Something has to get the ball rolling. I guess that is where the big bang comes in?? But even that couldn't happen on its own.

Why are all the christians and atheists on this site SO obsessed with the others beliefs?Why is it so vital to everyone to DEMAND proof of the others beliefs and to try so hard to convince them they are wrong?, to insult and degrade each other?
Christians: If u have such a problem with atheists/evolutionists and cannot believe that the Bible is wrong, why can't u just be happy knowing that in the end u will be in Heaven with God and we will be burning in Hell? Is your life any better after arguing with an atheist on here? Do u feel closer to Jesus? Are u a better person?
Atheists: Why does it bother u so much that some people believe in Life after Death and a Supreme Being? Does it really matter if they are wrong since the same thing happens to all of us when we die? Is your life changed by them insisting evolution is a lie? Are u really affected by someone else saying dinosaurs lived in Eden 6,000 years ago?

Isn't it important that we all just be good human beings TODAY?

I usually avoid all communication with a person when I learn they are a Creationist. I went through a phase of talking with them thinking I could learn from them and they could learn from me but have since learned people whose world view is based on religious fundamentalism have too much resistance for a change of mind and are in most cases unwilling to have a change of mind.

I've always stated if there was evidence for their side I would love to see it, unfortunately, 100% of the time it has been junk science and not real science.

Just wondering how other Evolutionists approach these issues, are you friends with Creationists, and how do you deal with the religious fundamentalist world view that has an unwillingness to accept evidences for a world view contrary to their own.

o.k I know i'm gonna get a lot of hands down - bad comments - and all that stuff - well it does not matter - but after a research i found out that something against God , nature , family and society - I mean i don't judge anyone here - I'm not against you guys - i'm against the sexual behaviour - i was reading a passage where it says " that God created women so men cannot be alone" well if you meditate in that statement is all true - I know that is hard to believe you coul be wrong !! but my point here is that - that's not the way me and women were created!! the western media keeps telling lies about Islam in order to make their citizens hate Islam more & more. Why are the Westerns so Jealous from us?? Is it because we are cleaner than them (We wash ourselves more than 5 times a day)? Is it because Muslim women are modest & respectful & they haven`t lost their honour or became public properties or sex objects like most of the western women? Is it because even though we are living in our darkest point in our history & we are suffering from poverty but still there are no high suicide rates in our countries if compared to the numbers in the wealthy west? Is it because we have moral values like the previous examples that I gave above & the western world has nothing except materilistic concepts which are going to fall sooner or later (it already started) while people in the Muslim world (Muslims or non-Muslims) have their religion as the top priority in their lives which is the reason why there are almost no atheists in the Muslim world?

Okay I read a question yesterday about the killings in schools and do they happen because prayer has been removed from schools? I don't think so. If prayer/religion in school would make things better then why do we hear about priests and such molesting kids? Will prayer in school really work? How can it when you have "religious officials" doing unspeakable acts?
