That some people hold onto a literal heaven and hell so strongly because they don't believe that the world we live in is fair? There are good people all over the world from various religions or of no belief in all, who treat people kindly and with love and respect. However, sadly there are also those who murder and commit violence from various religions or none. I accept this as a sad fact of life. What are some of your thoughts?

IMHO, they do. The first Christians didn't believe in a literal heaven and hell, they were Gnostics and sought knowledge and heaven and hell were from within. I'd be curious to know when such a literal vs. a spiritual interpretation began. Probably with the early Catholic church to the best of my knowledge.

why not do it Jesus way-respect another-why live like an animal-we get married in this life-and respect is the key to life-if u dont respect Jesus why would u even respect yourself??

i prayed and let Jesus into my heart-its wonderfull and better than my old life-i lost my g/f we never had sex but use to come close-im single but im happier than i ever have been in my life-thanks to Jesus saving me and keeping me.

I prayed-"Jesus im sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen"

Im not a virgin but even then i respected my g/f too much and she respected herself too---i told her i was sorry for some of the stuff we did and to forgive me please---yet after that it wasnt the same-i realized my life wasnt defined by relationship-but by my relationship to Jesus the Messiah-its all good now-i sleep like a baby and have peace and joy in my soul.

If God is free to break His own rules and make exceptions, why is God not free to break His promises? Did He not promise damnation for suicides? Did He not break this promise for Jesus?

What is a God who breaks His own rules and breaks His own promises?

i had to repent and let Jesus in my heart to save me-i got rid of the porn and could look a girl in the eye-not have lust flooding my heart -for selfish desire
Jesus said Revelation1:1 spoken from heaven-"Behold i love you as is, and knock on your heart to come in, deliver from sin and become your friend, if you let me in."

so i prayed-"Jesus im sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen" and Jesus set me free

Would you like to see us wiped out? Would you like to outlaw religions? Would you prefer to convert us all into nonbelievers? Would you prefer we all followed your faith,if you have one? Would you prefer we seperate into religious communities or countries? Or would you prefer that we all agree to coexist and let each other live as they see fit and this includes their faith? I choose the last one. Acceptance and coexistence.

Most people love their life and are always trying to get the best of it. But is it really worth to just live say eighty years, enduring all the problems of this life then pass away and forget about it all? Exactly how would He prove that he is, in fact, the son of God?

Or would the authorities simply believe him to be another religious freak, and ignore him (and all his followers)?

Whose to say that He hasn't already turned up, been totally ignored, and gone crying back to Dad?
