If God is free to break His own rules and make exceptions, why is God not free to break His promises? Did He not promise damnation for suicides? Did He not break this promise for Jesus?

What is a God who breaks His own rules and breaks His own promises?

Doesn't that sound like what a Human would do?

Jesus didn't arrange His own death. He knew it would happen. If He hadn't died for us, then none of us could be saved. Murder is sin. The only sin that can't be forgiven is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. One way for this is to reject Jesus.

A human wouldn't have gone willingly to his death. Jesus could have stopped it and called angels to help. This wouldn't have accomplished the atonement for us.

The question links sound like they come from a popular book.

It was God the Father who ordained (arranged, if you like) the Messiah's death. Jesus obeyed by not resisting His arrest, arraignment and finally, His execution. Why can't we arrange our own deaths? Well because that is God's prerogative as GOD - Creator and Sustainer of the universe. He gives life and He has the right to take it. Did you give yourself life? Did you Will yourself into BEING - to exist? When did that happen? When you were a sperm? An egg in your mother's falopian tubes? Or perhaps when the delivering doctor was holding you by your heels and you were taking your first great gulps of air as you were helplessly squalling?

Jesus didn't. But the scriptures show Jesus fulfilled many prophecies relating to his death. For example, none of his bones were broken,[ usually, legs and arms were broken to speed up the process of dying. His garments were bid on by the Roman soldiers. He was given sour wine to drink.

Well firstly Jesus was god in the flesh and his death served a tremendous purpose. You cant arrange your own death unless you take your own life...jesus gave his up willingly not took it himself.

Well the trick is, jesus lost nothing, he knew as did his daddy he would come back to life. So not true suicide, not a true sacrifice either. Nothing at all lost but a couple days time.

and to approve this Jesus was hidden from the jewish and the Romans. why was he Hidding? because he was fearing his death.

because Jesus never killed himself neither been curcified, but God saved him soul and body toward Him. and because he never die he will return back at the end of day killing the anti-christ and die like every human being.

you need to look up suicide in the dictionary. people can risk their lives for others without it being suicide. like if a car was about to run over a little kid and you jumped in front of the car to push the kid away and you died as a result of saving the kids life do you consider that suicide?

Jesus didn't "arrange" his own death. He came down from Heaven on a mission to preach about the kingdom of God which no one could enter based upon their own merits, to gather together disciples who would carry on after Him, and finally to complete the mission by laying down his life to make a way for all who would believe on Him to enter into the Kingdom that He had been preaching about. As He said many times, He came not to do his own will but the will of his Father.

Shortly before leaving this earth Jesus told Peter that he would also die before his time but as a martyr and in Peter's last letter he alludes to this incident some time before he was crucified upside down in Rome saying that he didn't mind dying for the gospel but he didn't consider himself worthy to die in the slightly more dignified way that Jesus had died.

John 21:18 (Jesus talking to Peter) Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go." 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, "Follow me."

2 Peter 1:13-14 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, 14 since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.

The Bible doesn't directly teach that suicide is a sin. However it does teach that to fail to accomplish God's will for your life is to "miss the mark" which is the root meaning of the word sin. It is filled with exhortations to press on and endure hardships and to fight the good fight of faith looking ahead to the promise of Heaven waiting for all who remain steadfast in their faith and who don't fall away.

If a person commits suicide it is almost always the result of mental illness. So dying in that way is similar in some respects to dying from cancer or some other lingering sickness and there is no evidence in the Bible that a person becomes disqualified for entrance into Heaven because they took their own life. Even if you believe that "missing the mark" of God's will for their life by ending it of their own volition is a sin, we know that believers are not justified by good works or damned for a certain number or type of sins. The sacrifice of Jesus, his finished work on the cross was sufficient to cover all sins past, present and future that a believer might commit.

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

That having been said, a person who is contemplating suicide should realize that God is not glorified when his children toss in the towel and that the Devil and his horde of evil spirits can often be a spiritual source of depression and a sense of hopelessness so such a person should seek counseling and prayer and whatever other means of healing are available to them both through the church and through professional doctors and psychiatrists.
