Hon, this little car isn't revving up her engine until she's been bought and paid for with words said before a priest and a lavish ceremony. And any guy who can't respect my desire for that isn't worth my time.

I think it's more the other way around. Women, although they can certainly have sexual issues, don't have the same problems as men.
I think it's more important for WOMEN to kick the tires before marriage. Not only have women ended up marrying gay men, but they get stuck with ones who can't get it up (ala Trey on Sex and the City).
I also think it's an excellent idea to be sure that you'll be compatible in that area. Oh sure, you can work on some issues, but in any other area you wouldn't commit your LIFE to something without giving it some testing, would you? Why should this be any different?

Good morning David. I think sex is an act that is an outward extension of inward love for someone and should be sacred and beautiful to the people involved. If you are dating someone that you think you would like to marry then the best thing to try out is communication. I think if all lines of communication are open then sex will take care of itself. You will be able to tell each other your likes and dislikes and therefore it should be amazing. Virginity is a gift that is too precious to be given lightly to just anyone who makes you lust for them. And if you sleep with someone you sleep with every person they ever slept with in a manner of speaking as you are subject to whatever diseases that might be hiding and waiting for an unsuspecting victim. If you cannot communicate in every aspect with the one you hope to marry then they are not the one God intended for you to be with and you should move on. Remember, the body will become too old and infirm to have sex, so you had beast be with someone you love greatly and can talk to freely.
