If we understand that a person loses, beyond the five senses, the consciousness? One only vegetates and when one dies, all the information in the brain is destroyed.
What would be the human illusionism that makes us believe in spirits, souls, saints and other abstracts that are not only based on DNA and RNA genetics (formed by billions of chemical bases) in the parents, passed on to their children?

According to the history of the Arabic nation, each tribe had their own "magic stones" that they believe protected them. The tribe Muhabbed was associated with had a black stone (maybe part of an astroid or meteorite that was believed to be devine. The stone was kept in Kaaba, in the city of Mecca. This stone was representative of the moon god "Allah". Muhammed stormed Mecca with 10,000 troops in 629 A.D. and destoryed all the tribal idols in the Kaaba except the black stone (Allah the moon God). He also told Jews to pray to Jerusalem before they rejected his teaching and then told everyone else to pray to Mecca. In one revalation he was told to kill and drive out all of the Jews. He had 1,000 Jews brought before him and beheaded. I'm not trying to be offensive, I am just reviewing history. What does Islam teach in this regards?

Will God send ten plauges? Should the American parent put lambs blood over the wall of our doors so the Angel of Death will not kill our first born child, since taking the word God off of the money or out of the Pledge will displease God?

Why or why not?

Why do so few people understand that 'right' and 'wrong' are completely subjective concepts, and that nothing is inherently either. A simple example would be the eating of dogs. In most countries, eating dogs is considered 'wrong', but in others, it is considered 'right'.

Therefore, the act of eating dogs itself is both right and wrong. If more people recognised that this is true of opinions in general, including religious convictions, the world would be a far safer place.

I ask this because I see an increasing trend of Hollywood movies that tell the same story over and over again. The best sellers are always the ones that show a hero sacrificing himself in a variety of fasions for others.

In seems to me that there's a problem with contributing this trend with social Darwinism. Self sacrifice flys in the face of social Darwinism. How could this be an evolutionary trait if it doesn't work to protect the organism that obeys it? What mechanism could cause it? Could selfless sacrifice be what truely seperates men from animals? Did God plant this conscience in us?

I'll give you a logic experiment that I think illustrates the point.

You're walking through a park when suddenly you hear a stranger's urgent cry for help. You have two options. You could run away and ignore the person, or you can run toward them and help them. What is the morally right thing to do? Darwinism would suggest our impulse should be to run, but why does that give us pause?

What do you have to lose if god doesn't exist? Your life. Living a lie means your whole life was nothing but a big lie. I dont know about you, but I dont want to live a lie. If god doesn't exist, your whole life is a big trick. That's like being married for 60 years before finding out your husband never loved you and did nothing but use you and cheat on you. Putting 5 dollars in the offering plate every Sunday all your life comes out to LOTS of money. What do you have to lose if god doesn't exist? Your life.

It seems most are brought up in a religion and the people who were called by GOD seem to have just slipped through the cracks of discussion and proof. Other than the born again christians.

Anyways, what religion are you and how did you become?
