Will God send ten plauges? Should the American parent put lambs blood over the wall of our doors so the Angel of Death will not kill our first born child, since taking the word God off of the money or out of the Pledge will displease God?

Jim,

I do not believe God will punish the United States if it removes the word "God" from its currency or from its pledge. But I understand your concern. And I can't tell you that it is not a real concern, because in Romans 3:23, we learn that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And we know from Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin are death.

But God has granted us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord. So there is hope. Romans 10:9-13 tells us that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Thank you for asking about my beliefs. And Jim, I will pray for you.

God bless,

Laura

P.S. I gave your question a big thumbs up!

We are already being punished by God for the things that we are doing and approving that which he says not to do.
You making fun of God personally is already having an effect in your personal life and you know it.. But the US taking God out of everything is only making it worse.. The news if full of what is happening every day as we become a country that God has taken his hand of protection away .

Judge Roy Moore said it so well:
America the Beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain.

>From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
>From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.

~Judge Roy Moore

Nah. Money doesn't matter. Secular pledges don't matter. What matters is our hearts as Christians. He is offended when we white wash his churches - pulling away all references to him. There is no more cross at the altar. Much less a crucifix. In Catholic churches the tabernacle has been moved out of sight.

So sad.

You can't walk into the home of a Christian any more and KNOW by their home that they are Christians.

So sad.

How are you today JD?

I think we should add "in santa we trust" so the big guy won't get mad at us. Maybe it would make sense to create a whole series of coinage devoted to various supernatural entities just to be safe.

just as He doesnt punish u for blasphemy (YET) or choosing not to trust in Him, He wouldnt force them to believe. He loves those who come to Him with an open heart and love, not those out of compulsion.

No. I think if there is a God, he finds the U.S. government incredibly corrupt and would rather have nothing to do with it anyway.

We already know that will happen, and much more.

Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
