I can't find any reference to ghosts in the Bible except where Saul went to the witch of Endor and a demon was called up posing as Samuel's spirit; in rhe reaction of the disciples to Jesus walking on the water (they believed Him to be a spirit) and in the reaction of the Christians of the early church when Peter was released from prison and they presumed that the person knocking at the door which Rhoda the maid was too agitated to open was "his angel".
These references differ from the references to the Holy Spirit. The Hebrew for "spirit" is ruach, which also bears the meaning of wind or breath. The Spirit of the Lord is frequently referred to in the Old Testament and when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost He manifested Himself in tongues of flame and in miraculous signs. He is still present within the Church and Christian believers, but not in visible form. You are confused because it is very difficult to convey the sense of "ruach" into modern English vocabulary. "Ghost" has developed a different meaning over the years and even the word "spirit" has so many connotations. In 1 John 1 we are told not to believe every spirit, but to test each spirit to see if it is from God, which is clear authority for the fact that there are evil spirits at large which might deceive even Christian believers. But verse 5 of the same chapter gives an indication of how we can distinguish one from the other. The Spirit of Truth will lead us in paths which are consistent with God's word. As Jesus said, with reference to the Holy Spirit, "The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you will know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you." The way to distinguish between the truth and falsehood is to keep close to God and study His word.
I hope that this helps.

The Holy spirit is part of God. He is God.
God works using 3 powers: Himself, the holy spirit and Jesus Christ who Christians believe was God coming to earth and showing us how to live our lives.
A good book is 'the bible for Dummies' which explains everything about the bible in simple terms. It talks about what Muslims, Jews and Christians believe. Its a cool unbiased book.
Christians believe they are filled with the Holy Spirit who lives inside each one of us. Jesus left us with the Holy spirit before he ascended into heaven to help us! New Christians ask the Holy Spirit to enter them!
The other type of spirits are very real and very dangerous. Protection can only be found through a special Catholic priest called an exorcist. Even if you have no desire to be religious its not smart to play with Ouija boards and the occult. Its very dangerous.
Good luck in your search!

There are no such things as ghosts for the Bible tells us that the dead cannot hear, see, or feel anything--"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:10
"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." Psalm 146:4
Satan and his demons like to scare people. Sometimes they pretend to be people who have died. They may even imitate voices of those who have died. In this way the demons fool many into believing that dead people are alive and can talk with the living. Yes, the demons cause many people to believe in ghosts.
The Bible warns that Satan and his demons are intent on misleading mankind. They take advantage of mankind’s despair and hopelessness to offer attractive, but false, solutions. (2 Corinthians 11:14) Hence, the Bible warning: “In later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons.”—1 Timothy 4:1.
Jesus is not the holy spirit, but he received holy spirit from his Father. Holy spirit is indeed holy for it is the powerful force that God uses to strengthen his servants, one being his Son, and to accomplish his purposes.
Christians need to listen to what the Bible really teaches about the dead. If they do, then they will not believe in ghosts, but will realize just how powerful Satan is in his quest to deceive us.

The Bible speaks of rebellious spirit sons of God.These angels because of their disobedience became known as demons
There are still billions of faithful spirit creatures (angels)
living in the heavens with God.
Jesus who is again residing in Heaven is also once again a spirit being.
The Bible teaches that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's Kingdom. In other words fleshly bodies cannot enter the heavenly realm
So there are good spirits and then there are bad spirits called demons,of which Satan is the ruler

There are different types of spirit beings. In the beginning, God brought all of His children together and presented His plan for our growth and development. He would create an earth on which we would dwell as mortals. We would forget our premortal existence so that we could live by faith and choose for ourselves between good and evil. Lucifer volunteered to be the Savior of all mankind promising that none of us would be lost, that all would return. This would deprive us of our agency and the Father rejected Lucifer's idea. Jehovah then offered to fulfill the Father's plan and was selected to be our Savior. This angered Lucifer and he rebelled against the Father. He and all the spirits that liked his plan were cast down to earth without bodies to provide opposition in our lives. They are here, now trying to destroy God's plan by enticing us to do evil and lose our worthiness to return to God. These are the bad spirits that you hear about. However, there are also good spirits that oppose the bad spirits. Those spirits that have not yet been born and those spirits that have already been born and died but not yet resurrected, are available to do God's bidding by helping us here in mortality. These sometimes are referred to as guardian angels. There are also translated beings that are God's messengers to carry out His will by helping us when needed.
Believe me, there are more good spirits than bad ones. We don't need to fear the evil spirits if we will take the time and effort to call upon God for the assistance of His angels as needed.
Have faith and pray always.

Holy spirit is God's active force which he uses to accomplish his purposes for the good.
Ghosts, however are something completely different.
They are demons who are misleading many people today. We know this by looking at what the bible says:
ECCLESIASTES 9:5 & 10 - show the condition of the dead
DEUTERONOMY 18:10-12 - a warning of how God feels about contacting the dead
Think about this - if it was our dead relatives we were contacting via a medium, why would God condemn it? Why would he not want us to be comforted by it?
Because it's not our dead relatives we are contacting, that's why.
They are demons trying to mislead us - REVELATION 12:9

Be very carefull sweatheart, slagging off the Holy Spirit is the only sin that will not be forgiven.
Spirits are indeed demons that God caused to stay here as punishment for corrupting man, Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), is the link between God and man through his Son Yeshua, to refuse the Holy Spirit is to refuse communion with our Father in heaven, but you have to refuse the Son first for He is the bridge . You accept the Son so that you can recieve the Holy Spirit, so that you can speak to our Father. Do not slag the Holy Spirit, it will mean death without repentance.

I can guess you have not really read the bible. When it mentions spirit, it differentiates between the good and bad. And taking about the Holy spirit you taking about the third person in the blessed trinity.
Spirit in the bible can refer to Fallen Angels; or Good Angels that do the Will of God.
I would advice you take time to read the good book and not jump into conclusion.
