Positively, I believe in the power of prayer because God responds to it.

You Bet! God answers prayers. Although, sometimes His answer is No.
Remember, it's a righteous man. Don't forget the word righteous.

I believe in the power of prayer, but I'm not sure about the fewer witches part. I haven't seen any proof of that. In fact, I think there's more.

what are you saying?? Have you prayed that witches and satanist would not be on Y Q&A ?? if there are fewer it is because GOD drew them here and has enlightened them in the awareness of GOD within there own hearts. Who needs spiritual awareness ? surely not a righteous man. What is a RIGHTEOUS MAN?? I believe one that SEES GOD IN ALL THINGS. this includes SINNERS AND SAINTS,WITCHES AND SATANISTS. I Pray all may know GODS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

Actually Witchcraft is one of the fastest growing religions and Xians are on the way out!
Get your facts straight.
Consider this; Why would an almighty supreme creator of all need us to offer him suggestions? "Please Lord, dont let this little child die a painfiull death..."
God:" oh, okay good idea, I hadnt thought of that, silly me. Now worship my perfection some more lowly human!"
Magik is about acting for yourself, instead of complaining to the sky pixie about every little thing.
If prayer works so well, stop the wars right now. Obviously god didnt notice what is going on and needs more advise from you.
good luck.
If you complain about this answer Ill report you for religious discrimination.

I sure do! :-)
One of the problems people have with prayer is that they don't understand that God, as our Father, sometimes says "NO". It's not for us to understand why, but to accept his decisions as is. God has his reasons.
As Garth Brooks sings, "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers."

I don't believe that there is anyone on the other end of the line.
But I do believe that prayer - or creative visualization - or whatever you want to call it - can help in that it's a tool to stop worrying.
