1-Recogonize your sin, what it is in Gods eyes. Pray to your God.
2-Turn around or stop doing it. Seek help from your leader in your religion.
3-Do works of repentance...do the right thing out lined in the Bible, if you are a Christ follower.
The other beliefs take your punishment and don't practice that sin again.

turning back from a way of thinking. It CAN include saying you're sorry, but there is more to it. You can "repent" of other philosophies you have had. Like doing a 180, whether it is because you made a mistake you will correct or if you had a different view.

To repent means to take a 180. A complete turn around from the way we are heading in life. If that way is destructive.

Repentence is a conscious turning away from what is evil in our personal lives, and toward what is godly. It is not a feeling. It is a decision followed by action.

To repent is to first forgive any and all who have offended yourself. Simply to weep I'm sorries will not avail you of the divine forgiveness.
