Hypotheically: If a person is born in isolation, say in a cave then fed by robots with no introduction to religion or any concept of a higher power, when that person dies, do they go to heaven or hell. It would seem to me that only an Evil God would punish that person for eternity.

For example, based on archeological data, it can be confirmed that the city of Jerusalem has “evolved” over the centuries. Therefore, the evolution of Jerusalem is an undeniable fact. However, the next question is: what caused the evolution of Jerusalem? Was it caused by nature, or was it caused by a creator (like man in this case)?

It would take much more faith to believe in the “natural evolution” of Jerusalem, than the “created evolution” of Jerusalem.

Thus, there are 2 aspects to evolution: (1) the fossil record, and (2) the causal aspect, eg, what caused evolution? This is the objective question. The cause of evolution can be explained by either:

(1) a demonstrated “theory of evolution”, or
(2) a “Creator”

This can only be scientifically proven for case 1. However, there is no proven or demonstrated “theory of (macro) evolution”. It is just a hypothesis that is accepted "by faith" by many people.

If it is proven, it will be loudly proclaimed.

What do u think of this?

2006-09-18 04:35:43 · 18 answers · asked by Anonymous

OK no laughing please, just tell me what you think:

I live in a world
Of anger and hate
Where crying is normal
Where fear is accepted
Where nothing is calm

Yet there is beauty

In trees and in seas
In sunsets and dawn
In stars made of diamonds
Just look at it all!

But it can be lost

The bombs and the wars
The fighting and hurt
Twistied life, no beauty
In today's violent world
What horror is this?

But let there be hope

In gladness in life
Dance, rejoice for joy
In life's quiet pleasures
In oceans of beauty
Yes, hope is there still

But we must work hard
For it to come true.

OK yeah so just thoughts and opinions....OK it's laughable but I need some thoughts.

Okay, I am aware of the common theories pertaining to these odd traits, but I want to know a few people's personal opinions, as I am considering a personal theory at present. I just want YOUR personal opinion. Thank you.

First off, what exactly did he say? Is anyone else worried about this? I'm concerned that Al-Quieda (I know I spelled it wrong, I'm sorry) will interpret his statement as representation of how all Christians feel, when his statement was merely a quote from several centuries ago. Any discussion?

Serious answers please, I'm not trying to start a Y!A war on here.

More info: I believe in a God. I do not feel I have the ability as a mere human to know what to believe beyond this. There are so many religions all of which feel they are the one true one, but I don't see one specifically calling to me, and I'm not just going to be what my parents are or what is "popular" in my community just to please others. I want something that feels people do have the right to think for themselves and doesn't tell me how to feel about the modern world (e.g. stem cell research) when the teachings are from so long ago and may not apply to our world. I'm open to anything. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my ramblings and respond :]
