Even though I do not believe that the Bible is the word of God, or true, there are some beautiful passages in it. I studied it for a long time and I like this one:

The hole book of ST. JOHN is one of the most heart touching books of the bible for me.The chapter where the Lord is the closest with his friends is so beautiful. When he is in the garden praying to the Father for all of us,it is so touching it makes you cry. He is pouring out his precious heart to God, and it is so moving, I love it so, it is beautiful. Tears are forming in my eyes now just from sharing this with you. I love the Lord so, sometime I can't hardly stand what he had to go through for me,(for all of us) it just almost tares my heart out, I don't no if there are others like me that feels this way, but I believe YOU do.

After my husband passed away, I had a 15 month old daughter to raise and I was scared. At a point when I was really confused about God's plan for me, I closed my eyes, opened my Bible, put my finger on the page and this is what He showed me...Isaiah 54:4-10.

Philippians 4:13--I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I first learned this verse as a young Christian. I was a basket case. On the verge of a mental breakdown, didn't care what I looked like, believed myself to be stupid and uneducated. My family had spoken horrible things into my life. Called me w**re, thief, bad mother, fat & ugly, unwanted by my biological mother (I was adopted). My then pastor showed me this verse. Told me to say it every time I felt any of the bad things that had been spoken to me. I did it. I figured, what did I have to loose? Since that time, I have lost over 100 pounds, and now work as a manager of a group home for mentally ill adults. That which my family deemed for bad, GOD made good with this one verse. I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

When I had been trying to get pregnant for over 8 months I was really down. I prayed for God's comfort. An hour later I sat down to my computer and my daily devotional was there. It was the scripture I knew you while you were yet in your mothers womb. That definitely helped my mood. The very next month I found out I was pregnant.
