how can a person or baby born be a christian, jew, muslim, athiest, agnostic, unitarian, methodist, catholic, hindu?

don't babies pretty much need care and cannot speak or understand much, let alone our silly beliefs and reason to fight and hate each other?

can't any person convert to a religion?

how is it we say kids are born a ***?

my family raised me evangelical, forced it down my throat, of course when I could legally leave, I did and I heretically chose my faith

Do you think if CPT and Jim Darwin went away from yahoo answers, that the point of view we champion, wether you disagree or not, wether you think it eloquent and intelligent or not, would cease to be championed here at yahoo answers?

You don't think there'd be 100 little mini CPT's and mini Jim Darwin's who would take up our cause and ask questions?

The ancient world waged wars for economic supremacy and ego trips. yet when all was said and done the pagans were just fine in allowing you to have your sun god while he had his water god.

With the inception of full scale monotheism, because it did fail under pharoah amonhotep, wars clashed throughout the better part of the last two centuries. Christians v pagans, muslims v pagans, Jews v pagans, mulisms v jews v christains. Is it the belief itself or the people behind it that make monotheism so violent. Perhaps a monotheistic theocracy's idea of one god gives way to eliteism. The romans thought they were better because they were. What makes the muslims who live like hell better then the rest of us. Most super pious christians live in poverty, what makes them better.
Because religon is cultural does this not say a lot about the people who worship in these traditions.

when in all the other translations I have put against their "Holy Scriptures" it doesn't have that in John 1 at all. Why would God say that Jesus was a god when God said that we should have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE HIM in the ten commandments? Plus, the bible says in Prov. 30:6 - Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar!
Why then do they add words to the bible?

What if i believe in God but havent read all of the bible. What if i believe in following the ten commandments and thinking of God as a father figure who will help me but i have never been baptized. What if i do the best that i can but i continually fail but pray for forgiveness. What if i believe in only praying to God and not Jesus. Will i still get into heaven?

In a certain church, while the pastor preaches and makes an exciting point, the congregation would all stand in unison and clap in unison and sit in unison like clock work soldiers. This happens every 2 - 3 minutes. Is this some holy ghost or just good training by the pastor?

Note that I'm not suggesting he should resign based on his comments on Islam. His comments weren't THAT bad. But hypothetically speaking if he said something so terrible that he decided it would be better if he resigned. Is he allowed to by Canon Law, or is the only way to stop being pope to be dead?

with all the atrocities they have commited wiping out entire populations of natives where ever they went what right do they have? Why should people look at their own people and culture through a western prism? If a western person is the measure of a civilised man i'm afraid i'd rather choose be an "savage". There are specific features of each culture and democracy should come from within the people adjusted to these features instead of a soulless replica of a western state exported everywhere by the US and allies! Why preach christian guilt to everyone?
