Born again Christians say so. And they think that wine that was made from water by Jesus Christ is not an alcoholic wine.

There are many verses that say it should be drunk in moderation. Wine is wine. It has alcohol. The languages of the Bible have a word for grape juice. Some Christians just don't want to admit it/

It is not forbidden, you can have a little wine or what ever. It says not to get drunk and act a fool. that is what it means, some in the bible are told not to take ANY wine, they are the wise men of the church, but you would be hard pressed to find any of them in this day and time. It also says if you want to get drunk, get drunk on the holy spirit it will be much better for you ( NO HANG OVER)decon's and bishop's this is for you to. It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person it is what comes out, mean, ugly, hurtful things these are what defiles a person..

Not that I'm aware of, however I think there is a concept in the Bible that says, moderation in all things. Most (not all) people who drink alcohol do not use moderation in their drinking. So while the Bible doesn't actually come out and say "Don't drink alcohol." there is a spirit of the law that infers it.

As for your statement about born again Christians, not all born again Christians believe that way.

No, it is NOT forbidden.

I AM a Christian. Pleas don't put me down.
Of COURSE, everybody will think something different! I'm thinking the Bible says something like-"don't be drunk with wine when Jesus returns", or something to that effect.

Why don't you look in the Bible yourself, instead of taking someone's word, and then BASHING them. THEY didn't MAKE you believe it.

Alcohol is not forbidden. It is drunkenness that is forbidden. Let be realistic: people drink to get drunk. Social drinking is a myth. Alcohol is a drug and it impairs judgment. Its effect takes place with one drink. This is why born again Christians are not supposed to drink. WE are not supposed to allow anything to impair our judgment. This would allow the devil to creep in with his temptation.

nope. those peeps have to read the bible a bit closer. in proverbs it says that he who touches wines and things are not wise, but it doesn't say that we can't drink. I still don't drink. Anything the bible says is unwise, I don't mess with.

What the Bible actually forbids is overindulgence, not the use of alcohol.
