Islam is the fastest growing religion on the Planet, however despite this the face of Islam is being damaged in the West by the Media which is further supported by the wrong reaction from a minorty of Muslims.

People here are either incredabliy arrogant or uneducated that they are falling for this slander of Islam. If you do not want to become a muslim then thats up to you! There is no compulsion in religion!

All I ask is that you do not Judge Islam by the picture that the media paint. If you want to understand Islam then first understand your religion, as to understand Islam you need to understand Judaism and Christainty.

See following link for more info on the similarities of the 3 religions:

for about a nanosecond

the word Islam means submission

not about free will or free choice

also goes against western culture of more is better and consumerism we capitalist pride ourselves in

also actually reading the different surrahs like "the Immunity" really put faith in my heart of a heartless god who commands we men kill each other for disagreeing and saying the word "peace" be upon you in same breath

"9.28": O you who believe! the idolaters are nothing but unclean, so they shall not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year; and if you fear poverty then Allah will enrich you out of His grace if He please; surely Allah is Knowing Wise.

"9.29": Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

"9.30": And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Have you ever thought of converting to another religion, any religion that permits its women to let the fresh breezes blow through their hair, to enjoy the sunshine on their bodies ?
Perhaps you enjoy sharing your husband with four or five other women- - - permitted by Muslim law.
Nope, I'll never become a Muslim. It was a hard drag for the human race to make it to the twenty-first century. I wouldn't care to slide back to the Medieval days.

I never imagined myself killing or destroying for the sake of wrong causes or beliefs@!

How would I ever sleep at night if I would have done these things?
Can I give moral values to my children if ever I would have in the future?

I'd rather eat worms. Like another here said, the thought of flying airplanes into buildings and strapping bombs to my chest is just not very appealing.

There are few things in life that I would regard as less appealing.

Look how Islam depicts its deity:

[2:126] "As for him who disbelieveth, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the doom of Fire"

[4:56] Lo! Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment.

8:14 That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.

10:4 ...as for those who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling drink and painful doom because they disbelieved.

17:10 And that those who believe not in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful doom.

18:29 Say: (It is) the truth from the Lord of you (all). Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!

22:19 These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, Disbelievers will wear garments of fire, boiling fluid will be poured on their heads, their bellies and skin will be melted, they will be tormented with iron hooks, and when they try to escape they will be driven back with the taunt: Taste the doom of burning.
22:20 Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted;
22:21 And for them are hooked rods of iron.
22:22 Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning.

... And so on, and on, and on, and on, in sadistic detail, ad nauseum. Utterly vile.

Why would anyone want to follow such a religion?

As a female? Hells no. I'd rather join the Jehova's witnesses and harrass people every Saturday.

Oh yes, the idea of strapping a bomb to myself, or flying planes into buildings is a very attractive selling point.
