More info: I believe in a God. I do not feel I have the ability as a mere human to know what to believe beyond this. There are so many religions all of which feel they are the one true one, but I don't see one specifically calling to me, and I'm not just going to be what my parents are or what is "popular" in my community just to please others. I want something that feels people do have the right to think for themselves and doesn't tell me how to feel about the modern world (e.g. stem cell research) when the teachings are from so long ago and may not apply to our world. I'm open to anything. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my ramblings and respond :]

Deism. Although I do not know which of the modern faiths encompass this. Thomas Jefferson was a deist. He believed in a Creator God, but didn't think He got involved in human affairs.

You might try tracing Thomas Jefferson's beliefs to the present.

Personally, I recommend your own reading of the Bible. Good Luck.
