Hypotheically: If a person is born in isolation, say in a cave then fed by robots with no introduction to religion or any concept of a higher power, when that person dies, do they go to heaven or hell. It would seem to me that only an Evil God would punish that person for eternity.

First, there is not enough information to make a determination and just about any determination would most likely be wrong, as we do not have the job of supreme judgement.

Only an Evil God would UNJUSTLY punish someone. However, God is JUST.

One more thing, the worst of all possible delusions is that someone will be able to get into heaven on their own works. It is by GRACE ALONE that we get in.

Some are appointed to Justice and others Mercy. Justice is something that is deserved. Mercy is GIVEN....

Jesus is the only righteous Judge of anyone and the decision is left up to Him. He is the only one who can determine if one gets there.

In this day and time of instant electronic communication, there are very few individuals who live in complete isolation from any other human or group. Also there are very few cultures left who have never had someone tell them about Jesus dying on the cross to save them from their sins. Missionaries are being sent out every day to evangelize the world, though their territory they have to cover may be large and the villages may be hard to find.

Nevertheless, there might be someone left at the end of the church age who doesn't hear about Jesus before He returns to gather His own to Heaven. It will be then the job of the 144,000 witnesses He will raise up after the Rapture of the church to find them and tell them about Jesus' love for them before the last battle against Satan is fought and Judgment Day arrives.

God isn't like men and will give everyone a chance to accept His grace and love in Jesus' death and resurrection. Those who do accept Him as their Savior will go to Heaven.

God is the one who knows the answer for this question for sure, but I have an idea from the Bible that, God is Just and He is Love, and He will make a way for a person to have knowledge of Him. The Nature, the Universe and everything around and inside us give us the clues that there is a God. The Bible writes also that "God wrote His law in the humans' heart". So, it is there somehow.
By the way, the only way to get to Heaven is believing that Jesus (the Son of God, and God himself) came to this Earth to die for us, and that he came back to life, and is sitting on the right Hand of God. He also will come back to take all the believers to Haven, to live in happiness forever and ever.

Have u ever heard of gaia theory? It comes from greek mythology and it says that every living creature has a spirit, an energy trapped in flesh, and when the creature dies the energy returns to its source, The Earth Gaia, while other part of energy goes from Gaia to the new born creature. Anyway the understanding about Heaven and Hell come from persian mythology, Zoroaster was the man that brought these teaching to jews from persia. The word paradise comes from persian language.

Romans 1 v 19-20 has the answer to your question

For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

Read Plato about the blind guy's and the elephant. In any case, in the catholic cosmology this innocent would go to limbo, which is a pleasant place like heaven but God doesn't visit.
The catholics covered all the angles.

If ALL the people in earth are good, then won't heaven be jealous of earth?
Can't God do anything in that direction?
Can't God stop sending us to hell to be fried? Instead, use the space to fry a lot of chickens to feed all the hungry and erradicate the thing called starvation. And then I think we won't have any of these problem, we will all be happy. We will just use our time to reproduce and happily die.

That is really a silly question since NOONE is born and raised in that way. God is NOT evil, if he were, none of us would even have the option of going to heaven, we would all be hell bound.

Religion is a construct, and all based on the teachings of our parents and their beliefs- right and wrong are basic instincts built into us as well.. When Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, he did so to have us be forgiven, and ignorance of the Lord is included. If you have never been exposed, how can it be a sin?
