Alcohol abuse carries many side effects.
The body needs an ample amount of sleep to perform properly
Is all this a coinicidence of evolution??? C'MON!!!! Why is it so hard to believe that this was all done ON PURPOSE?

As somebody else pointed out all life on earth can't be abused. IN fact even non-life can't be abused. I didn't say that the human body can't withstand some... what's the word... outside stuff? Anyway, the point is, abuse is BAD. And I don't think that this is by luck that we were designed this way.

I couldn't agree more! Bravo for you! And although I do smoke and I do drink and I have to sleep. I'm stuck on the first one I haven't had sex in over 1 year. But I think I can handle the cancer and alcohol abuse more then I could handle STD's especially AIDS. If I found out that I had AIDS, I would straight up kill the person that gave it to me and then off myself!

I think it's more interesting how knowing all the consequences of all those abuses, we insist in commit all of them.... and of course, I think human body isn't created specially for that, give alcohol to a plant or an animal, and look at the consequences...

It is up to each one of us to look after our bodies, after all, they are meant to last at least 70 years. Being over weight, smoking, substance misue, eating too many fattening foods, will put our bodies in danger of disease.
