If you are familiar with David's story in the Old Testament in the Bible, you know that he wrote some of the most beautiful Psalms, was victorious in battle, quite passionate about everything he did.

But he also was guilty of a lot of sins as well. Such as killing a husband to take another man's wife as his own. Yet David was called "a Man after God's own heart"

When you think of David's remorse when he realized he was guilty of a great sin, it seems to me that David is one of the greatest examples of repentence and God's forgiveness towards man.

What lesson can we learn from David and his walk with God?

When someone is angry or mean towards me, what is the right way to respond? My first reaction is to get angry and hate back, but I know this is wrong. Could you please tell me how to deal with this? If anyboby is about to insult my belief system, please do not. What will it accomplish? Thanks!

I'm asking this because in response to my last question, someone said schools are teaching kids to be homosexuals.

Which raised the question as to how that is being done. I'm nearly 60 years old and have never been tempted to be a homosexual. I cannot image what kind of lecture or course could be taught to convince me that my old buddy Bob was more desirable than little Suzy across the street.

For those who assert homosexuality is being taught in schools, please explain how that is being done.

Thanks.

As in, praying for something? Or is there a limit to what the universe can bring forth, even if remote to bring back (e.g. a person, an object, an event, etc.)?

Can wanting something badly enough eventually bring it forth? Or does God select what to bring forth and what to put on hold -- perhaps indefinitely?

Only God can see in the hearts of men regardless of their religious origin or belief and only HE will judge them according to their faith. How he will judge is not for us to know or be concerned with. The OT and the NT give laws to us created in God's image to be loving creatures to have compassion to our fellow man. RELIGION often gets in the way of God. RELIGION causes wars. RELIGION spurs heated debate and ungodly emotions and words. If we focus on the moral laws given in the OT and the NT we would become less judgemental of other religions and live in PEACE instead of trying to prove other religions as false or lacking in thorough evidence, the most insightful and Godly way to be irrespective of being Jewish, Muslim, Christian etc...is to follow love as being supreme and God will see that in our hearts and be glad. Stop trying to dissect every religion, in millenia to come there will be more relgions but there will be only one message. LOVE

I would like an explaination of what a REASONABLE reaction should be in your opinion. Please answer the following.

1. Please acknowledge what the reaction was: how many riots were there, how many people died as a result, what property was damaged, what threats were made, etc.

2. List Quranic verse/s as to what the reaction should have been.

3. State how or why the reaction to the cartoon/s were RATIONAL OR IRRATIONAL.

4. If the Muslim reaction to the cartoon was RATIONAL say how it justified the deaths, property damage, threats, etc.

5. If the Muslim reaction to the cartoon was IRRATIONAL say how it should have been handled so that justice would be done to correct the offense it caused.

6. Do you think there is an imballance in reactions with other religions? Please say how and why.

Thank you for your time and may Allah bless us all.

Is it sad when one person ends a friendship with another person, because they find the other person to ask obnoxious questions that are miscategorized on yahoo answers?

Do you think the ex-friend well notice that he or she is not a 360 friend anymore? Do you think she will wonder, why aren't my instant messages being returned?

Is it embarrasing to go on yahoo answers and read a friend ending the friendship, all because the person asks science questions in the religious section?

Perhaps the friend doing the ditching isn't a real friend, I admit, it is kind of a dick thing for this person whoever he or she is to do this.

Is it ethical to pick and choose are friends, and stop a friendship because we are annoyed with our friends yahoo answers questions?
