The OT Sabbaths & Feasts are a shadow of things to come and are fulfilled in Christ. It is good to keep Holy Feasts. Realize that Christ is the fulfillment.

For those redeemed by by the Blood of the Lamb of God, we have a real big Feast ahead of us, in Jesus Christ Kingdom.

There are some Christian churches that do observe the Old Testament festivals.

Early Christians kept both the Christian holy days and Sunday alongside of the old feasts because they were traditions, not beaus they were obligated to.

As well, you will see mention of Jesus and disciples observing old testament holy days, but of course they would, because Christianity appears after the resurrection of Jesus, not before.

There is no harm done in Christians keeping these feasts -- the challenge of course is to determine whether you are keeping the feast as it was originally understood -- Hebrew prayers,Torah readings, ceremonies, and customs, or whether you are inventing a modernized, Christian version?

But I am not following the rationale of why the person thought feast-keeping would mean that Jesus died for nothing--it really sounds like this person was speaking out of emotion rather than presenting a Christian argument.

If you are Jewish in ancestry, then I see it as no problem to keep the seven feasts as a manner of keeping your culture alive. However, the feasts were an image of the coming Christ, and were made of no effect after the death and ressurection of Christ, which brought forth the New Covenant between God and man. Keeping the seven feasts as a manner of Law is tantamount to living by the Law of the Old Covenant, not by the Grace of God through Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled the Law, now our feasts are in Him.

Considering that Jesus died on the cross for the remission of people's sin who believe and trust in him, this quesiton makes no sense at all.

Where is this "Feast of God"? Where did you get this idea?

The Apostle Paul says something like this (referring to trying to keep the OT laws as a means of earning our way to heaven)...

The point he is making is that we should obey God's commandments, but recognize that such obedience is not what will earn us our entry into heaven (we can never be perfect and sinless enough to earn our way into heaven). Rather we do our best to obey God, but depend ultimately on the gift of Grace from God (based on Jesus' sacrifice for us, on the cross).

Cordially,
John
