I would like an explaination of what a REASONABLE reaction should be in your opinion. Please answer the following.

1. Please acknowledge what the reaction was: how many riots were there, how many people died as a result, what property was damaged, what threats were made, etc.

2. List Quranic verse/s as to what the reaction should have been.

3. State how or why the reaction to the cartoon/s were RATIONAL OR IRRATIONAL.

4. If the Muslim reaction to the cartoon was RATIONAL say how it justified the deaths, property damage, threats, etc.

5. If the Muslim reaction to the cartoon was IRRATIONAL say how it should have been handled so that justice would be done to correct the offense it caused.

6. Do you think there is an imballance in reactions with other religions? Please say how and why.

Thank you for your time and may Allah bless us all.

That's an excellent question!! I often wonder why Christians don't riot when their faith is attacked/blasphemed against? In response to your question, you must consider who suffered as a result of the cartoon? I believe the response was a bit extreme. Yes I agree that it was an insult against Allah, but if Allah Himself is offended, then I'm led to wonder, 'How great your God/Allah is? Does Allah really need man to fight His battles? I fail to see how one religion is better than another. People believe as they believe for a reason. That's why we have such diversity in the world. Just don't make your beliefs my beliefs! (That statement was directed to all religions.) If an individual is secure in his/her beliefs, 'Why should it matter what others say? If someone calls you George and you know your name is Joe, you have no reason to respond because that's not your name. I have family and friends that are Muslim. We often sit and discuss our beliefs and disbeliefs. In fact, some of my most informative, peaceful conversations I've had were with Muslims. As a Christian, I'm secure with what I believe and visa versa. Our disscusions are civil and We BOTH learn from each other and part as friends. Everything is cool. So why do religions want to impose their beliefs on others, as though it's the only true religion? That's a question that man has tried to answer for decades. One will never know until you are required to give an account of YOUR life, here on earth, on the Day of Judgment !!! But in the meantime, let's agree to dissagree in peace!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

The violence and deaths are regrettable. The reaction was justifiable.

1. Search the net for your research. I was in India at that time and joined an impromptu protest rally that eventually ended up being tear gassed because 3 idiots out of 5000 Muslims started stoning busses.

2. Download a copy of the Qur'an in English and look it up. Briefly, Allah says that reacting to an unjustice must be proportional and must not exceed limits BUT IT IS BETTER TO FORGIVE.

3. It was proportional and should have been expected. We are not Jews to meekly walk into gas chambers. In Islam, there is no 'turn the other cheek' policy. If you have the balls to insult my Prophet or my Muslim brothers and sisters, have the balls to greet your face with my fist.

4. They are not justified because innocent people who were getting along with their daily lives had their property damaged and this is against Islam. They should be reimbursed by the Muslim community, probably out of the Bait-ul-mal or the Zakat fund.

5. The case was initially taken to the Danish courts for libel and slander by the ambassadors of 11 Muslim nations and it was consistently turned down. The protests were the last reaction which ultimately became uncontrolled. How about the artists try the "let's not insult others" tactic next time?

6. There is certainly a lack of understanding on the part of the West. As the Pope demonstrated recently, they take an insulting and disrespecteful approach to Islam and Muslims. Why would any self-respecting nation accept such a treatment?

Take care bro.

actually the leader of Muslims in the Denmark approached the leaders in Middle East for help and the word either leaked our or was spread intentionally and then lots burst out in rage. I think non violent expression would have been the best but that had already failed locally. Not all riots were created by Muslims, a significant number were probably started by non-Muslims, killing some people from two or three parties, start a riot and move out. peace, amy Allah bless us all, amin

direct insults to islam are unnecessary. muslims never attack another religion the way non-muslims attack islam and the Pr. Muhammad PBUH. the reactions are extreme due to the extreme nature of the cartoon. Imagine a muslim doing that to Jesus or Moses. I think you'd bomb them. these cartoons were deliberate in order to cause muslims to riot. the reaction caused the world to change their views of muslims. you have to realize that this is an old tactic used by Pope Urban II to stimulate hatred against muslims. this is so old that it's pathetic. look..this is a crusade and they need to fuel the fire..little by little. eventually you're going to have an explosion. so you know what..it's the reaction politicians need in order to continue on their path of world destruction. look into it a little more. read between the lines. there's a lot there.

The Imam involved has known of a paper editor inviing mass to participate in a drawing contest to draw Muhammad s.a.w.
The imam advice the editor to pull out he's statement, but he was denied that request and goes further by invoking the Mulsim people.

That why the reaction is excessive and i agree with it, cos the editor has provoked Islam despite being advice not to.

they were not Extreme that Muslims were upset but what's extreme is the signs they held in Europe were kinda crazy!!

we we were offended because we will not allow any one to insult Prophet Muhammed or any Prophet for that matter.

you should have seen the demonstration by Muslims in the middle east for the davinci code.
Muslims didnt like the davinci code and BANNED it in most of the middle east countries.

Far too extreme. I'm catholic and read muslim jokes and drawings but I don't go out kill and rob muslims. If christians and catholics did that there would be nobody living if we all we militant like that and easily offended. Those muslims who participated in those riots and killings I hope God punishes them. If peace is your religion if tolerance is your religion then promote it and condemn violence don't turn your heads. It's sad you see more bombs going off than protests against it.
