I do not see how TV can make anyone something they are not. There is far more heterosexual sexual innuendos on TV than homosexual ones.

TV can't 'make' anyone do anything. It can only glorify various ideas and lifestyles. It's true that lots of TV does this, so in that sense, it encourages such behavior. However, it is wrong to simplify the problem to the point of saying it 'makes' people do things. In truth, homosexuality is scientifically linked to overpopulation, not TV watching habits.

No, it's not true that tv MAKES people homosexuals. What TV and modern culture have done is okayed homosexuality, so people feel freer to experiment. When people grow up hearing that something is okay, then they will believe it, and look down on anyone who says that it is not okay, until some other "powerful proof" shows them that the thing is not okay. And our culture today screams that homosexuality is okay.

When I was an agnostic, searching for what to believe in or not to believe in, the Christians that I knew treated me better than anyone else. The secularists that I knew didn't seem particularly enlightened in the area of human relations. I at least listened to the kind people; the rude people were immediately shut out of my mind.

Television is made to entertain on some channels and educate on others.. (sports falls in between). That would be like saying because you watch Law and Order all of a sudden you have a grave desire to go murder someone.

Homosexuality occurred before television was ever invented so to blame it on that media is a pretty lame excuse.

TV may be making people feel as though their sexual orientation is more acceptable to society therefore they're more willing to come out of the closet. But those people were already gay - in or out of the closet.
It's just an ignorant person's attempt at understanding the phenomenon.

It is called media programing. Cartoons have the message in them even. Realize that artists behind the cartoons are sometimes homosexuals & they are promoting their sexual orientation.

The media manipulates their agenda whatever it is. That is why you have to listen with a grain of salt.

Christians are gifted with spiritual discernment. God alerts me to things on TV. He won't let me watch certain things.

Idolatry is a root of sexual iniquities passed on to the 3rd & 4th generations that hate God. So if TV is an idol before God in ones life, yes it can be a root problem in sexual iniquities, whatever sexual iniquity it is.

TV doesnt make anybody anything, it merely reinforces what people want to believe by reflecting on what is already in society. If people are dumb and gullible enough to base their lives solely on what they view on TV, then there is something wrong with the individual, not the TV.

Jesus taught that sin and spiritual uncleanliness comes from the heart.

Everybody was born with a free will, and if people choose to pick different paths, they suffer their own consequences...good or bad. Just as you have the right to choose to dislike christianity, I have the choice to embrace it..the problem is...people on both sides of the aisle are too judgmental.

Ask Jerry Falwell. He thinks Tinky Winky on the Telletubbies is gay. Gee, imagine the impact on an innocent 12-month old baby.

Get real!
