Good! Finally the question is why DO you believe, and not why DON'T you believe. At last someone thinks that believers have to account for their belief, and not unbelievers.

Of course, I DON'T believe in God, but I'll keep an eye on this question to see what they answer.

I believe in God because I know there has to be more to life than just a big bang theory. We have all of these senses and feelings. I can talk, I can hear, I can taste, I can smell, think of all of the work that went into creating us. I don't understand how a person couldn't believe that we were created. What a depressing thought. We live and die, and that's it. What a waste that would be. We all have our own thoughts, opinions, ideas. We all have our own personality that makes us special and our own features, and ...I have kids. I look at them and they grow up right in front of my eyes. There are just so many special things about our existence.

We, and the whole universe, did not just appear here out of nowhere. A mere spec of dirt has to have originated from somewhere or something. In fact, a physics law states that "Matter cannot be created or destroyed". The only logical source of this is God.

Because ever since I was a child I always wanted to put my hope in someone I can count on in my life when no else was there for me. It took me awhile to truly believe, but as I got older in life He demonstrated to me in various ways that He is a real loving, comforting, my guide, counselor, Father, King, Lord, Savior, and my Friend. He showed Himself to me in dreams, miraculous near death experiences, assistance of an angel, speaking through other people (His servants), and His presence in me (His Spirit) overwhelming joy and peace.
Hoped my answer helped.

Atheist develop what they consider to be a plausible scenario of events. They gather evidence which supports their beliefs through experience or other means.

We do the same thing. The bible explains many questions to those of us who take the time to learn what it says. I find it's explanations to be far and away the most sensible answers.
