Someone referred to me as "The Church Lady" and said that I reminded them of the old Dana Carvey character on Saturday Night Live.

What do you think? Was she a saintly woman who had a special relationship with Jesus like me?

If muslims weren't so violent at the drop of a hat they would be comical.
'Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached,'"

I hope the Pope tells them to bugger off.

Would someone kindly provide scripture that says heathens who died before Christ's message reached them get a chance to believe in him and go to heaven?

Chapter and Verse, please.

Just recently I was able to fire my housekeeper, who was an illegal by the way, because I found a free and very Christian way to keep my house clean.

The cute little Mormon missionaries boys have always stopped by my house and will ask me, "is there anything we can do for you?". So, I took them up on their offer and so now twice a week I have missionaries crews who come over and clean my house. FOR FREE!

I usually wear shorts and a halter top and carry a duster around and just direct them on what I want done. They also do household maintenance. They fixed my fence, changed my oil, fixed a flat tired on my bike, etc.

This is a great untapped domestic assistance resource for Christians of all types.

BTW, when they stopped by I did ask the Jehovahs Witnesses if they would help me out around the house but they declined, so I'm sticking exclusively with Mormon Church for my domestic help.

To turn is another way to say pour, did Jesus turn the water into the wine to make it go further, or to rip off the customers in the bar he worked in during the 30 missing years of his life?

So, i lost my faith in god age 12 one afternoon, when my father after many months, decided not to divorce my mother, and to keep their sham marriage together for another dacade and a half, leaving me, with her, and spending everyday he could at work. including xmas.

ive had faith, i did belive, now i dont

so, its now your turn, game on, bring one back to the fold
Dont tell me to pray, i just cant get up the nerve/courage.
Dont tell me to read the bible, just a bit a day.
I hate churchase full of silly women, dont tell me to go to one
None of this just belive nonesense.

I want to get my faith back, no bible quotes, no sayings, nothing witty, dont just muble, about how great he is etc, and how he never stopped loving me..

I want something concrete, to do , to get faith back.

Does that mean we non-christians are expected to judge which self-proclaimed christians are/are not true Christians?

According to Christianity, isn't that -God's- job?

Were I to accept the demand of christians to judge their christian credentials, I'd say there are no more than five or six people here who are true Christians. The rest are deluding themselves.

Do self-proclaimed christians really want non-christians to judge their credentials? Or is this just a convenient excuse for self-proclaimed christians to distance themselves from those whose credentials -they- judge unacceptable?

I have been going through a lot of probelms lately, everything, I haven't been coping at all. I have prayed to God for some help, but don't ever seem to find any. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anybody I can talk to?

Do you attend a weeknight service or weekday service in the Cleveland Area? IF so please tell me where and what time. NOT WEDNESDAY, I work that night so I can't attend my church's. I'm fairly new to the area and I am craving weeknight prayer and bible study I've grown accustomed to. Thanks.

By the way, my dear atheists friends, please don't respond honey bunches because clearly this message is for Christians. Just save it this time with the fairytale god comments. Thanks!

The Catholic Church does not have nearly enough credibility in the 'not hating other religions' department to start throwing stuff like this anti Islam thing today about.
I know he was quoting from someone else, but if he didn't mean it then why say it? and if he did mean it then why hide begind saying its only a quote. As a former member of the Hitler Youth he is on REALLY dodgy ground.
Opinions?

We all know about the big bang theory. As a Catholic, I believe it to be true and pretty accurate, but even the big bang theory starts with a "mass" or singularity. So...who put that mass/singularity there if not God? Who created the "instructions" for dna evolution, chemical reactions, etc... if not God? PLEASE - Serious answers only.
Interesting fact - Did you know that the big bang thory was actually first discovered by a Catholic priest?

I understand that an atheist is a person which falls under either of the following categories;
a) one who does not believe in the existence of GOD
b) one who does not pray and does not follow religious rituals.
c) one who does not have faith/has difficulty in having/developing faith.
Please indicate in which category you belong with justification. IF you have any other category definition please explain.Put in simple words my question is "what is the definition of a true atheist"?
