I have been going thorough alot of troubles also. Health troubles especially.
Sometimes I get myself believing that he doesn't hear me, he doesn't care for me and that He is shutting me out.
But in actual fact, He does hear you.
He may not answer you at the time you won't Him to answer but He always wil answer you but on His time.
Every little thing, however big, however small is terribly important to Him.
Everything that is big and concerns you, concerns Him just as much.
But His answer will always come at the right time, and you may have to be a little patient.
Whatever you experience, He experiences.
He loves and care for you so much. He thoughts of you are more numerous than the grains of the sand (psalms 139).
Also, 2Peter 5:7.
There is a book that is well worth reading that has really helped me. Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. Its worth looking at the review. Hope this helps.

Sorry about what you're going through, you aren't alone in that at least. I've been through a lot recently too and found it hard to pray and been wondering what I'm supposed to think of God just now. I can only say that I am assured by the Bible that it's a matter of hanging in there and things will be better like we won't believe soon. I may be about to lose my husband and home so it's not a small matter to keep the faith at the moment. I have to be honest and say it's probably the love, prayers and support of my church family that have kept me sane over the past couple of months. If you don't have a supportive church then you might want to move churches. That's what church is for. Giving you a link to a church family website and maybe you can find people who will help.

It's easy to get disheartened and feel abandoned when we go through tough times. But Jesus says in the bible consider yourself blessed if you are suffering, that your faith is considered worth testing:
"..it may now be necessary for you to be sad for a while because of the many kinds of trials you suffer. Their purpose is to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure."
1 Peter 1:6-7
Don't give up your prayers. Continue to tell Jesus how you are feeling and put your trust in him. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Try to talk to someone at church or another Christian, who can pray for you and help encourage you at this time. Chin up, Sweetie!

We all go through storms in this life. The bible says the storms comes on the just as well as the unjust. A storm came to my home last year. I lost my job due to health problems (heart disease). My wife got laid off the same month. The burden was too heavey for me to carry. I went to church, laid my problems at the altar, told God I will have faith that He will take care of my problems. I never had to ask for a handout. My bills were always paid. My wife got a job making more money. I got approved for disability social security. God is great. It might take a while. But God will work it all out in His time.

Acts 17:27 reads "He{God} is not far from each one of us". So far so not very helpful I know, but if you are genuine and I'm sure you are, try this; get hold of a King James Version of the Bible and turn to Psalm 83 verse 18, then try praying to the person described there.

in your heart. Be still and quiet and you will hear him. Stop focusing on your problems and get out and help others is a great way to find God. Remember that your idea of answered prayers and God's are not always the same and that He does know what is best, even if at the time it does not seem to be in your mind.

God is always there, be patient, and keep on with your prayers, have compassion in your heart and sincerity when you pray, if you feel it in your heart, than you know God has heard you.
God's time is different that ours, but he is always on time.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according ti his purpose. Romans 8 :28 NIV
God uses problems to draw you closer to himself. The Bible says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, he rescues those who are crushed in spirit"(Psalm 34:18 Nlt). Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days-when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when the pain is great-and you turn to God alone. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heartfelt, honest-to- God prayers. When we're in pain, we don't have the energy for superficial prayers.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life
When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me, Lord,
That if I followed you, you would walk with me always.
But I noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
There have only been one set of prints in the sand.
Why, When I have needed you most, you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have seen only one set of footprints
Is when I carried you."

God is there within your heart. However, because of our impure consciousness we cannot talk to Him directly now, and we are separated from Him, although He is so close to us. Therefore Lord makes Himself available to us in the form of authorized scriptures, bonafide spiritual master and His devotees. If you want you can talk to me, and I can tell you how you can come closer to God - my own experience.
