I saw a comment by an athiest that based the proof of her answer on an article on the website www.evilbible.com. I did read a good deal of this article and then called my father. He has studied the Bible indepth and can explain in detail what each verse in the bible is actually saying. Many "points" that the person who wrote this article made, to try to dispute Jesus as the messiah, and other such disputes, my father was able to dispute every single one. The one that said that says that Jesus could not be the messiah because the messiah has to be a direct desendent of David, and that Joseph who is a direct desendent of David is not Jesus' natural father, therefore Jesus did not meet the requirements of the messiah. Well did the author know that Mary was a desendent of David as well? Guess he didn't study the Bible or understand it as well as he thought, huh? Anyone else think these Athiests "points" can easily be proven wrong by someone who has really studied the Bible?

So Christians who teach that hell burns forever are incorrect, right? I mean, to be in hell forever you'd HAVE to be ALIVE forever, and the Bible says that only those who are IN CHRIST will have eternal life.

SO the real punishment must be eternal DEATH, not eternal SUFFERING.

Doesn't that make sense?

They are doing it with religious conviction. But I don't know if they are just misquoting the book and bringing shame to muslims around the world.

have you ever researched your self about the origins of the bible, I mean read a christian view as well as other views? you know, a real in depth search, 360 degrees, as to where the books came from and why only the ones in the bible were chosen?
Now I would like that you not respond "I believe what I believe and I believe in the bible" cause it's like saying "I believe that the sky will fall" and I'd prefer that you don;t tell me about you having faith in whats written, because that is not a correct response to my question.
have you ever researched the origins of the bible? or have you just blindly accepted what is written in it?

Not if a recent federal court ruling stands. How do you feel about this? "I was in prison and you visited me." Words of Christ.

How is it we came to be? Are god's creation or just some part of evolution? And do u think there are other planets like earth?

How is it that christians disbelieve the theory of evolution without even considering the possibilities and just blinly state 'oh I belive in jesus and that's all ther is to it". If you look at the progression of archaeological finds in regards to mans evolution, you'd clearly see that the gaps that exist are shrinking. which logically concludes that eventually (if it is already known and being suppressed) the so called 'missing link' will eventually be found. And what is so bad about the idea of evloution? it doesn't say that god doesn't exist, it suggests(in my view) that god crated the universe and that laws of nature and we have sprouted from that, how can you anything bad about that view?

that the atheist reads verses 'Out of Context' when you disagree with them?????
I know there are alot of christians that seem to presume that with almost any atheist.
I know myself is not afraid to read the bible. I can read chapter after chapter, book after book. I was once a christian for many years, am now atheist. I personally, am well aware of reading entire chapters and also getting background information on the books, authors, the history, in order to gain greater understanding on what is being written.
So are there many christians that do not presume the atheist only reads in part?
I may post out of context, but i dont read out of context.
If so.... please remeber that i said I dont.... my name is "CJUNK"
And I will remeber yours.
thankyou
PS
I dont just have the bible here. I have Koran, "Gita", pluss many other books. And no its not because I am 'searching' etc. my reasons, are for another 'post'.

How can you know whether God exists?
Maybe Santa Claus exists too.

Christians often tell atheists that an atheist can never be sure there is no God.

To be sure there is no God, an atheist would have to know everything, because if there is anything the atheist doesn't know, then God could be part of that missing knowledge.

But what if the atheist responds this way: “Unless the Christian knows everything, maybe Santa Claus exists outside the Christian's knowledge.”

There is a big difference between knowing whether God exists and whether Santa Claus exists.

The biblical prophets and writers made statements like, “The word of the Lord came to me,” “When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him …,” and so on. There was no guesswork or doubt — the writers say God communicated direct with people with knew Him.

But who would claim such personal contact with Santa Claus? For instance, is Santa Claus tall and skinny with long black hair? Does he live at the equator and ride a motorcycle? If these details are not correct, how do we know they're not?

In contrast, the Bible writers and prophets clearly identify God for us. They tell us about Him and how to know Him personally. Jesus said, “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9). Millions have found that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Would anyone rush to claim the same for Santa Claus?
