Why did the muslims migrate from theocratic muslim countries due to oppression to western countries and then hope for them to be islamic states?

I hope the UK is NEVER an Islamic state. Why should the Brits have to change their faiths for immigrants. Why should they accommodate for them?
I agree with your question, why do they? And I also agree with the first answer. More economic stability, yet surveys also show the young immigrants and their native born children lack opportunities.
My belief is that these young Muslims should NOT try to change a land that is not theirs. Instead, they should adapt to European life and all religions should live in harmony.
I read an article that outraged me from MSN about European Muslim rape gangs, where a bunch of muslim young men rape European women because their hair is not covered...but come one, Europe is a Christian continent...deal with it.

It was a survey of "young" British Muslims...not of those who moved there. I would imagine they want an Islamic state and Islamic laws for the same reason a lot of Christians would like the USA to pass Christian laws and claim the USA to be a Christian nation.

looooool well they are british first ..but lets take it in this way ..they are muslims & muslims love their religion .& if they want UK to be an islamic state this mean in their openion that they love UK . do not worry its children talking . here in lebanon we are 50 % muslims , 50 % christians .both sides have learned to live in peace respecting each other .such talking about converting the country into islam or into christienity always provokes when one party is pissed up from the second & i believe that now there is this situation in london ..thats merely talking .. learn to live with this & it wont bother you ,plus you know well that this is merely talking .

UK and US have more economic opportunities to perhaps launch a theocratic crusade.
The Ottoman Empire was eliminated once oil was discovered. Had the Ottoman Empire been a stronger empire, we would not have issues in the Middle East
