It is a certain type of Pentecostal. I don't remember which one though. I knew several families who were that denomination. However, they didn't necessarily always wear bandannas.
They were always polite and peaceful, didn't proselytize, the women wore long denim skits, no high heels, jewelry or make up, and they did not cut their hair. Many home schooled their children or sent them to private schools.
We've just moved and we have a family two doors down that are the same religion but I haven't talked to them yet. I can ask if these people sound like the ones you are asking about.

There are many. Some penecostals do this and I am a Catholic and dress inlong skirts and bandanas with long hair as well. Orthodox Jews dress this way except they cover all of their hair but for the most these are various Christians.

Someone said Pentecostal - I am Pentecostal and know of no-one that does this. It is a very strict religion and I think but I am not sure - but Presbyterian? Kinda like the Amish people - no make-up, long skirts, long hair - very strict and I can't see them praising God the way Pentecostals do. Just my opinion.

UGH. People, I swear.
They aer NOT Amish or Mennonite. These women make their own dresses, and do not wear denim.
They are NOT nuns. Not all of them.
Generally, these women are conservative Christians who believe their hair should be uncovered only for their husbands and they wear skirts in keeping with the admonition in the Bible that the genders should not dress like each other.
Catholics do not believe this forbids women from wearing pants.

A few different religions do that. I have a friend who is Penecostal and she wears skirts all the time, never cuts her hair, but no bandanas.

I really like long dresses. My bf desires the brief ones. So my closet is filled w/ 1/2 and 1/2.
