I saw a comment by an athiest that based the proof of her answer on an article on the website www.evilbible.com. I did read a good deal of this article and then called my father. He has studied the Bible indepth and can explain in detail what each verse in the bible is actually saying. Many "points" that the person who wrote this article made, to try to dispute Jesus as the messiah, and other such disputes, my father was able to dispute every single one. The one that said that says that Jesus could not be the messiah because the messiah has to be a direct desendent of David, and that Joseph who is a direct desendent of David is not Jesus' natural father, therefore Jesus did not meet the requirements of the messiah. Well did the author know that Mary was a desendent of David as well? Guess he didn't study the Bible or understand it as well as he thought, huh? Anyone else think these Athiests "points" can easily be proven wrong by someone who has really studied the Bible?

I am not "brainwashed", I have been "washed in the blood of the lamb"!!!
And it is the responsibility of every Christian, to spread the word of God to all we can. We expect to meet resistance, but we will truck on!!!!!

I will pray for all the lost souls on this site. Cause their sure are alot. I hope that someone one day will be able to show you the way to salvation, because I truely don't want to see anyone of you end up in Hell. Not believing in Hell doesn't change the fact that it is a very real place.
I read a great quote once : "I would rather live my life believing that there is a God and die and find out there isn't, than to live my life believing there isn't a God and die and find out there is."

Regardless of the views of the non-believers, I know that I am doing Gods will by spreading his word and he loves me for that. God is not an evil, murdering being. He is offering you the chance of a wonderful life after you leave this earth. I really hope that you all can grow to see this, and not find out that "all us Christians" were right when you die, cause then it is too late.

of corse. ive said many times as well that these athiest website out there are bunk. Instead of using real evidence (which they cant do) they try to twist words in the bible. they use only certain lines and verses instead of using an entire story or section of the bible. in other words they take things out of context to make a point. Unfortunetly their ploy works because there are so many people out there that want to disbelieve so much that they will believe what these websites state.. its stupid but it happens all the time.

Wow. Every thing can be 'disproven' through words.
How does Santa go down a chimney that has a fire in it?
simple, he has a fire resistant suit on.
How does santa get presents to all children in 24 hours?
simple, Santa is timeless.
You see. there are of course answers to EVERYTHING. Theoretically disproving anything.
You are too young to be 'spreading the word' at the moment. I know it sucks to be told you are young, but that is the case. Your best bet is to seek truth, not what you would like to believe to be true.
The point is to think like a child(much younger than yourself). ask any child to describe God. ask them for their OWN knowledge. You will find their is none.
Unlearn everything and become born again.
EDIT:
response to your response on my other question. I just thought you were young because of the nature of the question/comment and some of the words you used. No offense was intended as you can see. I know people accuse others of being babies and teenagers etc so as to belittle them . I didnt mean to do that. I actually thought that was the case. I really thought the comment you made , 'every 'point' made by atheists can be proven wrong' , was an impertinent one. Atheist have alot of information disproving claims made by christians quite clearly.
check out http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/ there you will find debates between christian scholars and Atheist scholars. The debates are really good. There isn't much in the way of personal attacks. Very informative.
Any way... sorry if I offended you with thinking you were younger.
anyway.......

you desire to correctly known why we don't ought to instruct god would not exist? right that's why: a million) instruct that Vishnu would not exist 2) instruct that Xenu would not exist 3) instruct that unicorns do not exist 4) instruct that Zeus would not exist 5) instruct which you do not have a twin brother who lives below the sea 6) instruct that my grandmother will not be able to fly 7) instruct that i'm not god 8) instruct that no person will ever stay previous one hundred twenty years 9) instruct that Elvis isn't from Venus 10) instruct that your objectives are actually not actual in yet another international 11) instruct that Moses wasn't bicurious 12) instruct that Jesus did not have six hands on each and every hand 13) instruct that God would not have an ottoman for his throne 14) instruct that angels will not be able to do calculus 15) instruct that Adam or perhaps did not consummate their love each and every 22.17 minutes sixteen) instruct that the crimson Sea did not have a pH of 6.9 whilst Moses chop up it 17) instruct that Mary did not have a primary pair of sandals that she wore in basic terms on Fridays 18) instruct that Paul wasn't a midget 19) instruct that Matthew did not write his account whilst sitting on the dock of the bay 20) instruct that John the Baptist did not have herpes Are you seeing why the burden of evidence isn't on us? it rather is not on us. you're making the declare. You help your place. we are in simple terms announcing that your declare is incorrect by using fact there is no help. you may save taking section in this yet you will in no way understand by using fact you do not desire to understand. you need to take it sluggish with a good judgment classification and notice what you may learn.

Matthew 1:23 says that Jesus (the messiah) would be called Immanuel, which means "God with us." Yet no one, not even his parents, call him Immanuel at any point in the bible.
Isaiah 7:16 seems to say that before Jesus had reached the age of maturity, both of the Jewish countries would be destroyed. Yet there is no mention of this prophecy being fulfilled in the New Testament with the coming of Jesus, hence this is another Messiah prophecy not fulfilled.
The gospels (especially Matthew 21:4 and John 12:14-15) claim that Jesus fulfills the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9. But the next few verses (Zechariah 9:10-13) show that the person referred to in this verse is a military king that would rule "from sea to sea". Since Jesus had neither an army nor a kingdom, he could not have fulfilled this prophecy.

You really shouldn't make such general sweeping statements, even though it does seem to be a christian trait, especially when only referring to one particular debate.
Such a sweeping statement gives the opposing point of view a great deal of power, for instance, as I am Asatru (Norse Heathen/Pagan), I can say something like this:
We need to breath in order to provide oxygen to the brain so that we stay alive. (in order to prove this incorrect, you would have to try to survive indefinitely without breathing)
Or, I could say something like:
Everything in the bible actually happened and is true as written. (this is not actually in counterpoint to my own religion, as early versions of the bible don't deny the existence of other gods, merely forbidding the Israelites to worship them)
So, go ahead prove me wrong.
PS, I personally believe that your god is an errant member of the Aesir, Vanir or Jotun races (Norse Gods, Goddesses & Giants) and not a particularly benevolent one either. all that hellfire & brimstone seems a bit strong for a higher being. I have no idea why the other Gods Tolerate his behaviour, but then again they merely imprisoned Fenrir the wolf, knowing full well that he will kill Odin at Ragnarok. I guess they're a more tollerant and developed group.

I have read the 2000 year old book christianity is based on. I have also studied various other religious texts. What I saw there convinced me that deities do not exist, that religion is a sociological construct for societal cohesion which is no longer needed and that things like heaven, hell, satan etc.. are just points used to keep people in line.
As a genealogist myself, I would call that particular data in the bible highly suspect as any good genealogist will tell you that proof is required to connect generations. Just because it is written in a book doesn't make it proof. I've seen many published genealogies with errors.. that one is one of many.

Seems like these arguments go back and forth. Nothing in the bible can be proved or disproved. One needs physical evidence in support of or against to really do this. That evidence doesn't exist, therefore people rely on ambiguous arguments that amount only to nitpicking someone else's beliefs.
Your example is for Athiests. I can give examples that the reverse is true. Intelligent Design is one. All they say is that evolution is "only" a theory. They try to poke holes in established physical evidence with words and fall short every time. Thats why ID is not science and why Atheists are not religious. They don't share the same belief structure and their arguements against the other are usually not based on physical evidence, just words based on their own beliefs.
My only suggestion is to believe in what you believe in. If that changes with time, good for you, you can grow beyond these naive realities.

I'm not trying to force my beliefs on you (I'm agnostic) but see it from another perspective.
The Bible is colored by those who first set it down to paper, those who translated it from the original Hebrew, and those who read it. Going through each different bias held by that particular person, you come out with an ambiguous interpretation of the Bible.
So any point made in general can be refuted (by a non-believer and beleiver both) depending on which interpretation they want to go with. Especially if the Bible is used as the sole reference.

You're dealing with people who want to prove us wrong to the point of pretending there's some proof that man evolved from apes, which is nothing but a theory. I guess it doesn't really bother me that they don't believe in God, but think its perfectly logical to believe in the "big bang out of nothingness", but it does bother me when they try to persuade us out of our beliefs while holding on to such a stupid one as they have. I mean, come on, if you don't believe, fine, go away, but don't try to force your big bang nonsense on us. They could at least come up with something better than that.
