You must be a creationist if you are a Christian. Several definitions exist for fundementalist.. so I am not sure exactally what you mean by that.

I tried to find the statistics I saw one time, but couldn't. If my memory is right, the breakdown is as follows:

40% of Americans think that literal creationism is true
30% accept evolution and creationism.

I know that doesn't add up to 100%...but there are probably a lot who are undecided, didn't want to answer the question, believed in some other religion, or are not religious at all.

I'm a Christian and i went to hardcore fundementalist christian school and when they are called that they think it's a good thing. So, the ones who are so adamant about their believes pushing and judging are mostly fundementalist. All Christians get the view sometime or another we are so great, in reality we are complete trash forgiven by God through Christ Jesus. Anyways I'd guess about 25-35 Christian fundementalist. Remember this just because some one is a Christian doesn't mean they aren't an idiot.

I just read something the other day that surprised me. If I recall correctly about 60% of "Christians" claim the bible is literal and the creation is a fact.

Amazing (if I recall correctly) that superstition and ignorance are so prevalent in the 21st Century in an "advanced" nation.
