I've found so many go to The LORD in their times of need, and they plead for help, and once The LORD has given what they ask for, without even words of thanks, they continue with their lives, giving no thought of God, untill they need Him again.

So ask yourselves, are you a true Christian, or only when you need to be?

-This is not a question for people that are openly denying The Heavenly Father.-

When I was sent to Riyadh for a month to work with the US Air Force for a joint assignment, I never realized the sights I'd see. One of them was a public stoning.

They gathered around this poor girl for about an hour, throwing rocks at her.

The Air Police security unit that accompnaied me was under Orders to NOT interfere or move forward in convoy until this
insane horror was over so there we stood all engines running...aghast.

I saw a deep hole and a lovely 30 year old lady, tied up from feet to shoulders, to a pole, and lowered alive into this hole, in a standing position. Only her neck and head are visible. And she was stoned for over an hour and died. Rock after rock bloodying her face crxking her nose and the screams! Islam's punishment for an accused adultress.

The troops told me that this WAS NOT some isolated incident and they have witnessed many and are UNDER strict orders to not intervene! This is Islam the religion of peace, mercy and compassion!

When I met my fiance' neither of us were very close to God. I was closer and prayed that he would find him. About a month ago, he did find God, and everything changed in an instant.
The only problem is that I haven't been able to afford a divorce from my "ex"husband. That was never an issue until recently. Now, my fiance' seems to be pulling away from me. We have lived together for over 10 months, but obviously we have both decided against sex until we are married, but he's taking it even farther. He won't even kiss me on the mouth, and when he does his lips are closed so tightly it's not even like a kiss, and he doesn't hold me as much. I'm afraid that I am losing him because of him finding Jesus. I don't want to come between that EVER, but, there has got to be some middle ground. Please pray that I will be able to afford a divorce, and that in the mean time, I don't lose the love of my life...who, God brought me to. Please...I beg you...pray for me, and for him too.

I must admit I have to grapple with this at times. Saying the birds sing and sun shines can be nothing more than the result of a bunch of chemical reactions over billions of years, than the result of divine creation. Can he really blame non-believers if they didn't listen to what some people reading from a 2000 year old book said? Especially with all the other religions around and the frauds that have been exposed.
It's a hard question I know, but one that cuts to the heart of belief.

Did he take the nazerite vows?Coz he is always pictured with long hair and a beard.
I am also asking this question coz there is no historical evidence that Nazereth existed during his time. How could he be from nazereth if the place did not exist?

A Nazerite is someone that took a vow to serve God.They are not allowed to consume wine. They suppose to live like John the Baptist did. Samson was also a nazerite. The detailed description of a nazerite can be found in Leviticus

We live on Earth, a novel I once read suggested that this could be another planet's Hell. It is for many tortured animals and people.

I am curious to know what people like me are called, who do believe in God, but not entirely what is written in the holy books or preached by others. However, I do not deny the whole existence of God, but use my mind when it is required, even if it is completely religious.

What should I tell my children to follow?

I need some sound advice. A very close friend of mine may need a significant loan in the near future. She's quite a bit older than myself and has applied for disability. She's been denied twice, and is now only waiting for an appearance in front of a judge. It is reasonably certain that her case will be approved. Trouble is, she's quickly running out of money and will soon no longer be able to pay her bills. Knowing that I have a decent job and a bit stashed away, she has turned to me for help. I have borrowed money from her in the past; she has been more than happy to help. However, the difference being I had the means to pay her back...which I did in fact do. If I help her, and let's say that she's NOT approved for disability, she has no means in which to pay me back. I am a working, single mother that needs to watch what I do with my money so as to provide for my son, whom certainly comes first. What is the biblical teaching on lending money?

The way your day goes depends a lot on the mood in which we begin it and our attitude towards our tasks. My day is ending so I am winding it up trying to learn and spread peace. What are you doing or what will you do to begin your day right?

Ask yourself if fear is really useful. I find that concern is important but fear holds me back from doing what I should and what I can. I can fear things that may or may not happen but that does not keep anything from happening. How can you and I let go of fear and trust in our God or Creator?(Or for atheists How to just let go of unproductive fear?)
Peace Be With You,
Debra

I have heard that phrase many times growing up.
And always thought it was a bad thing.
I dont believe we should go through life trying to get our every whem....however the bible says you have not because you ask not.

point...
One day my husband and I were driving down the road, and out of being purely silly I said......."One of these days someone is going to hand me a thousand dollers, in Jesus name" My husband and I had been talking about faith, He said yeah right....I lifted my chin up and said, hum! watch and see. One day.
well five years later i was seperated from my husband and was asking God to lead me and tell me what to do. I was working at a restruant in another town. A man with a suit walks in and orders a meal...he then walks over and said , you asked God a question and the answer is found in (Col 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.) then he handed me an evelope and walked out. He didnt know me nor i him. In it was 1000.00

Rational people do not routinely question the existence of animals, plants, automobiles, sun, moon, stars, ad infinitum.

Since people routinely question "God's" existence, doesn't the question prove he (it?) does not exist?

Or, for that matter, don't those who offer irrelevant examples (human existence; complexity, existence of universe; etc.) as their "proof" further demonstrate "God" does not exist?

("God" meaning the biblical or "creator" God)
