26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Matthew 15:26-28 (NKJV)

Upon plain reading of this, Jesus calls the Canaanite woman a little dog, and then she presses him, and he then says his daughter is healed. Many interpret this to mean that Jesus came for the Jewish people (sheep) as well as the Gentile's (dogs).

Upon plain reading of Revelation I see dogs are at the gates of heaven. It specifies that there are elect, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes.

What's going on with the use of the word Dog?

If God did write the Old Testament, how is it possible that he..er...revoked it? Did God change his mind? Did he make a mistake? Di he lie when he said many times in the Old Testament that his words there will be eternal? What part of "eternal covenant" allows it to be eliminated?

Lets just say a teen was conscious of his sin, but refused Jesus and believed life was a dream. Then lets go on to say, he got in a auto-mobile accident and turned into a vegetable. He was no longer able to reason, or think clearly. For the rest of his life he lived in a comma and died? Does this guy have any hope, or his he dooomed?

2 Kings 2:23-24 "23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!" 24 So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths."

lol, give me a moment to stop laughing. OK, the man in these verses is Elisha, one of Gods mighty prophets, and apparently although he was closer to God than just about everyone else, he still never practised temperence. Oh yeah and even though Elisha couldn't take some mocking from little kids, why is it that God obeyed Elishas vengeful prayer, and send bears after the children? Don't know about you guys but I never heard this story in sunday school, they seem to take out all the hard core parts and just keep in the happy rainbow and candy parts. Theres other instances like this one but this ones just bad.

If god created man, Don't you think that god is responsible for what man do including all the good things and all the bad things? There are very generouse people and helpful people on the world. Let's think them as God's creations. But there are also tremendous cheaters and terrorists in the same world. However, they are all men. But it is god who created man. So isn't it obviouys that god is reasponsible for all that and he doesn't care about his creations in the least. I just can't understand why god create such people if god is actually a good one. ANd why did god create earthslips, tsunamis, volcano eruptions draging lot of people to vry pathetic situations?

Please don't misunderstand me. I just can't understand these things. It will be really helpful to me if somebody can explain me the truth. because I am about to give up my faith.
( I didn't mean to offend anybody's faith by my question)

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
Revelation 22:14-15 (NKJV)

I read this and it appears to me to be saying that I would need to follow God's commandments. Am I missing something?

I guess verse 15 is a definate that dogs don't go to heaven, would you agree that on a plain reading of this verse that it is saying that dogs are not allowed into the gates of heaven? Poor Dorthy won't have Toto in the afterlife will she?

I read verse 14 it says those who follow His Commandments have access to the tree of life. Am I missing something?

Has anybody seen one lately?
I haven't had one knocking on my door for years now. I'm living in a new place since I was last called on so I can't be in the black book. I miss their little visits because I used to love winding them up. Have they finally got the message that nobody is interested?

Because even Black Sabbath--despite it's name--if you listen to the lyrics were not evil at all! they were tame!
I admit more recent thrasher bands indeed have Satanic lyrics.
.....But you don't hear about them like you did the rock bands of the past that were constantly accused of being evil and satanic when they really weren't!

I hear tell in other parts of the world that if you don't go with the majority, you can pretty much go to hell. At least we have the option to argue about it here.

Could it be because they thought who the Kenites are?
Smyrna:
Rev 2: 9"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan"
Philadelphia:
Rev 3: 9"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."
In Genesis 3:15 God talking to the devil: "15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
Enmity between the seed of Eve and the seed of satan; the descendents of Cain.
In John 8:44 "Ye are of [your] father the devil…" Jesus talking to the Kenites. The so called "Jews", not the true house of Judah
Please give mature answers only. Don't attack the question. If you can't answer maturely, than don't answer at all. Thank you.

I ask this as a Christian, because from reading the book of Galatians it seems like the apostle Paul makes it fairly clear that there is no need for the Christian to circumcise anymore, and Paul even seems to imply that if you are still circumcising, you don't understand what the message of the gospel is all about.

So why is it still done SPECIFICALLY by some Christians? (I'm not asking about other religions, but specifically Christians.) Is there a Biblical reason, or is it only done for a medical reason? And if so, what are the reasons?

Note: I'm NOT asking to offend or anything... I'm just curious if there is a reasoning behind why some Christians still have this done (I've gotten into the habit of adding disclaimers to my questions, as I somehow manage to make people angry with my questions, even though all I'm doing is seeking out information.)

Thanks.

think about it, they would justify owning slaves with it, beating slaves too....., selling your daughter into slavery, killing your own children, making women wear veils or else shave their heads, sacrificing animals, giving suspected homosexuals and fornicators the death penalty, and on and on.
I mean, I am pretty happy they only just think silly myths are literal like the flood, Noah and Adam and Eve and disregard the laws!

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus 20:13 (NKJV)

Many of Christians quote Romans chapter 1:28-31; and 1 Corinthians 6:9 to illustrate the New Testement view regarding the homosexual issue. This is all from St. Paul. What changed from Leviticus 20:13 to Romans 1:28-31 and 1 Corinthians 6:9, that they are to not be put to death?

Indeed, it appears to me on a plain reading of these Bible verses that something must have changed in the way God feels about this issue.
